Remarks

The College is really great, it's not just a College it's a lifetime experience. The environment and curriculum is very comfortable. The only problem would be the location of College it comes under a industrial area causing less options for foodies to get many options.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

KLS GOGTE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY has become autonomous since past 5 years, they have constantly been updating and upgrading the syllabus to make students learn what's new and is important Instead of going through the traditional structure as a result the course curriculum is awesome. Modern trends in AI and ML led to adding it as a subject. In regards of the exam there are 3 assignments 25marks each with quizzes along, also 2 open-book assignment 10marks each and a course activity for each subject and of course at the end a 100marks final paper. This pattern is quit same, the assignments and course activity are averaged and brought up to 50marks and the final exam is evaluated for 50marks and added to the assignments and projects to make a score out of 100.

Placement Experience

4.5

My College has a lot of job opportunities, most companies land in for 6lpa while there are some above and below, many specific companies like IBM, PWC and some other provide a 6 month internship with 30k per-month stipend there are also companies bloke Bosch and Texas instruments which provide a higher value.

College Events

4.5

My College has 3 major flagship events names Aura, Avalanche and panchajanya Aura is a cultural fest where we have 6 days of bash and boom the entire energy of College sparkles with the color of joy with events like DJ night, a celebrity show, fashion show, dance, literally, treasure hunt and lots of many more there is traditional day, formal day, mismatch day and lots of fun to deal with Avalanche and Panchajanya are the two major technical fests happening in even and odd semester respectively. Both the events focus on major aspects such as paper presentation, idea pitching, Hackathons, eSports events. The major difference is that Avalanche is organized by the CSi group focusing more on computer science perspective, whereas Panchajanya is an IEEE event hence it has more of a electronic focusing zone like IOT etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As I am a non Karnatakan it's a bit expensive, it costs me 1,74,320 where as the students from Karnataka have a max fees of 69,000, special provisions of fees is provided by College, also the provision of scholarship for Karnataka students and loans and offers are provided by College

Fees and Financial Aid

For students from Karnataka there is a provision for scholarships upto 13k. To avail it a certain number of steps to be followed by providing important and necessary documents to College. The College also allows split fees to be paid Instead of paying all in one go. It's a 6month scheme plan.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio is 1:1 approx also ther are a lot of extra curricular activities always happening in the campus. There are several clubs and teams that can be joined by students according to their interest, there is Rotary club, also there are teams like literary team, dance team, eSports team. Several spots also take place with teams winning across state and national level like swimming, football, basketball, cricket the College always support and Sponsores for extra curricular activities. The College has a diverse range of people with different Casts and religions and everyone belonging to a middle class background.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are pretty okish, not much to say the infrastructure is all good, nothing extraordinary it's pretty basic, but there is no compromise on internet and water facilities they are available 24/7, there are ladies who clean rooms on alternative days basis.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors and alumni are really helpful and the great ones also are called for Tedtalks to College to share their experiences and also to give a more better view of the outer modern world. They also tell if they have openings available at their place as well as demands of companies and modern trends.

Admission

I was born and brought up in Kolhapur Maharashtra, in order to get admission in Karnataka non-karnatakans are supposed to write an exam called COMEDK an mcq type exam with physics, chemistry and mathematics as main subjects, I wrote this exam, when the results came out I was supposed to put preferences for the College I would prefer,my first priority was git from belgavi, as it not only does have fame, but a lot of alumni I know has a positive feedback, I got an over all rank of 19k. I got BE course for Computer science, I had tremendous interest in the course as well as the branch, so I opted it. COMEDK has a different process. 1) We are supposed to go to a specific College in Bangalore, with all documents such as 12th certificate and marks card 2)A verification is carried out and on spot College seat is allocated. 3) later the recipe provided by officials is to be submitted to the respective College we opted into. 4)3 rounds of upper steps are taken monthly for, so 3 rounds. 5) Finally going to the College and confirming seat and carrying out the registration at College. KLS Gogte has a lot of fame the max rank they take in for any branch is max(13k)KCER and (22k)COMEDKtheir cuttoff has been dynamic and keeps reducing, the crowd is very prominent and smart. It's a place with various facilities with working high speed WiFi!

Faculty

5

The faculties are really kind, generous and helpful. They are not old school, they also provide YouTube tutorial as a reference and ask to read books to get a better insight beyond the course study to make better understanding of students. Each and every facility holds a postgraduate degree and some also hold a doctorate. All facilities are available even after College hours to access students difficulty either through WhatsApp or a normal call. Overall the facilities are really helpful.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
