Architect

The circulum and academics in the College is really good. But there are a bit of dissatisfaction in students regarding few things which is common everywhere. We put on our issues and request for the changes. Upon recommendations from the concerned authorities we do get positive replies and actions for our problems.

The course curriculum was really good and knowledge full. We had a tough time with the number of subjects and its submissions at a time. On request from previous years batches and current batch, the syllabus curriculum was revised and the repetitive topics have been removed, reducing burden on students.

The job opportunities depend entirely on student and his potential. Since this College has a good reputation in our field of architecture, a graduate student from this College has better employment chance compared from other Colleges. Our College do provide internship program but the stipend is given for the GATE qualified students which is common in other Colleges too.

Our College has various clubs which deals with various activities like dance, music, drama, event organisers, literature, software training etc., We celebrate all religious festivals possible. We have an annual College program called INYAN and there's a inter SPA meet too between SPA Vijayawada, SPA Delhi and SPA Bhopal.

The fee structure is reasonable and cheap compared to other Colleges which provides the architecture course. The fee structure varies between regular courses and self financing courses. The general fee structure here is around ? 1,15,000/- for a hosteller.

There various scholarship facilities available in the College. Eligible students from SC/ST gets central government scholarship annually till their course ends. For Students from EWS(residents of AP) gets scholarship from state government annually. Students who qualified GATE exam, are eligible for GATE Scholarship.

We currently don't have any elected students'council but the current student council was formed and finalized on basis of merit, interview. Our College is an Anti ragging College so there are strict rules and actions for people who does against the rules.

Since the College infrastructure is new, the accomodation in hostel is good. We have two types of rooms, Single and 2 members sharing. We have access to high speed internet through WiFi in hostel. Common toilets with everyday cleaning. Regular cleaning and moping of rooms through house keeping persons.

Our College was established in 2008 so the strength of alumni is very less compared to the other national institutes. But the alumni keep updating us with the various job notifications, latest construction trends and also provides external support for the internal College issues to an extent possible from their side.

I had entered M.Arch program in SPA Vijayawada through GATE exam. There is also another method for getting into this course that is through JET exam conducted by SPA Vijayawada. I chose this College as this College is currently best which provides masters in Sustainable Architecture.

Here in SPA Vijayawada,we have highly qualified professionals with experience in teaching and research. There are 8 faculties with doctorates and 5 other facilities who had published several papers in reputed journals.
