As I'm a geography student, the lab classes left me with a hectic day very frequently, but I love my subject as well as I think this is a part of my life now, I've decided a lot to work with this, so I'm just preparing myself for the further job.

No, they don't provide any internship, as I Know most of the colleges provide training after graduation, so that the students can be able to apply for the job and took a place, but college is not responsible at all. We're suffering the most.

Alumni/Alumna

The college faculty isn't good at all. They don't take responsibilities for the current students. I don't think they'll go to arrange anything for the seniors anymore. There's no interaction with the seniors because inspite of being a regular student, we don't go to college, for us going to college is waste of time because professors are lazy enough to attend the classes. Our college experience is nil, we don't have any college days experience. We regret the most to be admitted in this college.

Admission

I've submitted the online admission form, then I attended an offline counselling and after that the college faculty uploaded the merit lists and as I was able to get admitted and so I've got admission through that.

College isn't too strong to teach, as I Know an education trip or we can say in one word, 'excursion' is mandatory for the students of Geography, botanical and zoology. But our college didn't take the responsibilities at all, here we're failure to gain an experience whice gonna effect our career.

I want to know bengali literature and all type of poems and proses that's why I choose B.a. in bengali literature. According to me, my course helps me in doing Masters in Bengali. From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

Presidency University: A hope of light but needs a lot of upgradation

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Bengali is one of the oldest Bengali department in the state. It offers undergraduate honours and postgraduate courses. Recently, they have started PhD courses as well. The Bengali department is actively engaged in research in hot topics in literature. The curriculam of Presidency university is most diverse among all other University, colleges in the state. It begins with very basic topics at the first year and ends with very specific research level papers at the final year. The syllabus is so advance that bachelors students can compare themselves with the masters level students after completeing the course. I will mention the bachelor course curriculam in summary: Semester I- Prachin Bangla Sahitya O Bangalir Itihas sandhan, Bangla bhasar itihas o bhasatotto, Semester II- Prak chaitanya juger bangla sahityer itihas, Madhyajuger bangla sahityer itihas o kabyapath, Semester III- Shorosh o soptodosh shotabdir samaj: itihas o chaitanyadeb, Ashtadosh shatabdir samaj sangkriti, changa-alanlkar o prof sangsodhan, Semester IV- Adhunik juger udbhab, gadya o probondho sahitya, kabya-kabitae itihas, natoker itihas o rupbhed, Semester V- Bangla Upanyas, Bangla chotogolpo, Rabindranath, Semester VI- Unish o Bish shataker bangla samaj songskriti o sahitya, bhinna bhasar sahityer itihas o tar obhighat, bharatiya alangkar shatra, sahitya o shilpo. Other than these compulsory courses, there are lot of exceptional elective courses that attracted me more towards joining this prestigious university. Since Presidency University select specific students through their difficult entrance tests, the semester exams should not be difficult for the students, but there are some papers in the course which needs to delt with extra care and attention to get extra marks.
