Remarks

About positive remarks, they make us learn about the true face of the world. How this world really is. They gave us lesson how to decieve others. How to make money for living. And all the things that a college should have, you can take it as a negative.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

Cousre cirriculum was overall good. with taking focus on todays needs. But in many areas like research and innovation they lack much. The course was not sufficient to increase or initiate someones zeal and enthusiasm for innovation.

Placement Experience

1.5

They are zero in this matter. They have tried to do better. but as the quality of education was too low, noone can do anything into placement if you don't have the basic knowledge about your subject.

College Events

3

In a calender year there were 3. 4 events that were organised on college level and 5. 6 events that were on the level of streams. Such as sparkel which was annual technical event and then garima and many.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Moderate but not as par with the quality of education and food. They charge very high as compare to other colleges in different states. They charge compulsory fee form many different sources which no one wants. Like bus services, wifI services.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were no scholarship or loan facility provided by our college. You have to avail all of these from your state government. There were many sach scholorship programs run by government for different categories of students.

Campus Life

2

Talking about gender ratio, it was 5:1, every festival were allowed to be organised such as sarswatI puja, holI and all. We would organised Dj party at the night of those festivals. Only on those days we were cherised by good foods.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

They charged a whooping 60000 for our hostel, but in return they can't even supply us with fresh water, food, beds. They accomadate 3 persons in single room with a tiny bathroom. Freedom in the hostel was energetic but for energy you have to eat food. The quality of food was like that. dogs even don't eat them.

Alumni/Alumna

In the college, seniors only wanted to rag you and beat you. Only some were there who really wanted to help juniors with there academic and placement. They play with you, they share foods, enjoyed and share their experiences.

Admission

I was keen to take computer science, but as my college management was deciever they put me into mechanical stream, as they have vacant seats there. When I approched them, 1st they told me that you yourself choosed this stream, and after when my parents raised this issue they apologized but didn't changes my stream. So this is the story how I got into this stream of mechanical engineering in My btech carrer. How they blasted my hope of becoming a software engineer. which I was thinking from childhood.

Faculty

1.5

Just qualified with there degrees. They dont have quality. There were some teachers who were good and also qualified to be called as professor. but in wholesome quantity they took ass in the name of teachers.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
