Remarks
I opted for this particular institute since it is closer to my home and I was able to give sufficient time to my family.
Course Curriculum Overview
The MBA course curriculum was pretty basic and detail-oriented. My specializations were in finance and marketing. I learned a lot from the curriculum, especially how to relate different aspects and enhance the productivity of business on the whole. Along with the core subjects we had to study some of the elective subjects as well.
Placement Experience
Our college has strong corporate tie-ups with companies from diverse backgrounds. Students are recruited for profiles like a consultant, process manager, business development executive, etc. Most of the students got a salary package in the range of 30000-40000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My first-year fee was 1.8 Lacs INR, which was pretty feasible, to be honest. For the second year, I paid around 1.3 lacs. Our college is one of the most feasible and budget-friendly private institutes in Bangalore. The fee was to be paid on a semester basis.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit. Applicants have to apply at the time of registration. Scholarships offered by our college are solely dependent on the academic performance of the applicants. One such scholarship is the Ministry of Education- Merit Scholarships. Additionally, students belonging to a reserved category are eligible for availing of a relaxation in the fee. One of my batchmates availed fee relaxation since she was from an OBC category.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni meet was organized on an annual basis in our institute. Alumni visit our campus in order to interact with the students, resolve queries and even offer career guidance. All of them shared their personal journey and aspirations which was very inspiring.
Admission
The entire selection process for the MBA program is pretty lengthy. The CMAT entrance exam was pretty tough for me since I have been distant from quants for so long. When I look back, I feel lucky that I was able to crack the interview round.
Faculty
Faculty members were very much qualified and to an extent they all were supportive. They all had many relevant degrees ranging from MBA, or simply management degree holders even though some Ph. D. holders were also. They also possessed ample corporate experience which was like a first-hand experience for us.
