Remarks

My experience with the NIM was pretty good. I am feeling nostalgic even writing about my experiences. The college gave me friends for life, memories to live with and a career to keep moving forward. The infrastructure was top-notch and I shared a profound bond with some of my faculty members. I am connected to them, to date.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The Course Curriculum was very informative and creative. I joined this MBA program to support my family business and the course curriculum was exactly what I wanted. The endless case study analysis and constructive feedback from our faculty members prepared me for difficult situations.

Placement Experience

4

Placement is not that good at our institute. The placement cell is dedicated to improving the level of confidence of the students by organizing mock interviews and personality development sessions. Some well-known brands visit our campus but the overall placements have a lot of scope of improvement and that will only happen if they approach more companies for placements.

College Events

4

Numerous cultural and festive celebrations are organized throughout the year in our college. One of the most beautiful things is the coming together of the students from different cultural backgrounds and celebrating festivals that are not even their own. Our department used to organize management fests to engage and entice business-related role-play activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our course fee was on par with other B-Schools in the region. I paid around 3.6 lacs in total for the two-year program, which means 1.8 lacs on an annual basis. This fee included caution money, registration fee, tuition fee, etc. Overall our college was very much feasible in terms of day to day charges.

Admission

I applied to the college with my MAT exam scores, because I couldn't appear for the exam organized by the University. They called me for the interview. The interview process was pretty stiff though I cleared it nevertheless. The administration was very supportive throughout the admission process. They even gave me some relaxation for presenting my documents.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty was pretty much experienced and very adaptable. They adjusted their style and pace of teaching as per the need of the hour. They all had relevant degrees but their level of knowledge was beyond the academic teaching they gave us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Remarks:

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
