Remarks

For me, our college is one of the best colleges for management studies. The infrastructure of our college is nice and the facilities like computer labs, language labs, sports ground, games facilities, wifi, etc. were provided.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of our college is well structured and they also offer dual specialization areas as major and minor. I chose Business Analytics and information systems as my specialized areas. Exams were conducted at the end of every semester.

Placement Experience

The placement cell in our college invited companies like Genpact, HSBC, India Infoline, KPMG, Pepsi, etc. visited our college for campus placement. The highest salary package offered was 9 LPA and the average was 3.8 LPA and the lowest was 2.4 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The grand total fee was ?5.51 Lakhs, this includes the other fees and tuition fees of each semester. The fee structure of our college was quite feasible and reasonable compared to other colleges and as it is a good college, I don't mind paying around 5 Lakhs.

Campus Life

We celebrated teacher's day, fresher's parties to welcome the freshers, annual sports events, annual college fest, seminars, workshops, etc. Our college has no tolerance for ragging, so ragging is strictly prohibited in our college.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network of our college was good, alumni meets were held for the reunion of the graduate and so that they can share their experience and keep in touch with the college. The seniors in our college were also very friendly and supportive of us too.

Admission

I chose this MBA course over anything else because I wanted to study about management and become a successful business person. My admission was based on the MAT entrance exam and then, I applied and registered online and after my application was shortlisted, I attended the group discussion and lastly, I went through a personal interview.

Honest Review of BIBS

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Placement Experience:

IIM Calcutta has fantastic placement records. This year also it got 100% placement. There are offers for various roles in marketing, finance, consulting, operations, product management, and general management, and it involves the participation of world-renowned organisations. A total of 170 organisations visited the campus, providing a total of 520 job openings. IIM has a 100% placement rate, with the majority of the organisations coming from the consulting, financial services, marketing, and information technology industries. The highest domestic CTC was 60 lakhs, with an average package of roughly 28.5 lakhs.

IIM Calcutta is in an excellent location. There were 172 companies on campus, offering approximately 520 jobs. IIM C had a 100% placement rate, with the majority of companies coming from Consulting, BFSI, Marketing, and IT. The average package was around 28.5 lakhs, with the highest domestic CTC being 60 lakhs.

Remarks:

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

Only good remarks I can give for my college, but one bad thing is that it's very far away from my place as I stay in Howrah it took around 2 to 2½ hrs journey for college.

Remarks:

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

Remarks:

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.

So I am in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Institute of Management Science, Kolkata right now. There is no quota section. The minimum mark for applying is 60% with English as a common subject. Previously I completed BBA from the same institution. The senior professors are amazing, they are more like friends. One can approach them with any question without any hesitation. The environment was very nice. But now I regret taking admission here because the higher authorities are more into politics. Student's interests are not being taken care of.
