Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum offered by our University is good. I pursued an MBA course so, they offer dual specialization areas in Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, and Systems Analysis. The exams were held every 4 semesters.

Placement Experience

Our university provides placement and job opportunities for students. 66% of the students are placed on off-campus recruitment and 34% are placed on-campus recruitment. 29% placement through international on campus and 71% placement through on campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university provides an opportunity for students to avail of a scholarship. Various types of scholarships like PG Indira Gandhi Scholarships for a single girl child, PG Scholarships for university top rank holder, Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowships for ST/SC, etc and a lot more.

Campus Life

Our college organized various extracurricular activities like sports events, cultural events, etc and the university has zero-tolerance on ragging. They also organized seminars and workshops frequently. There is a number of clubs to join our university.

Hostel Facilities

I opted for the hostel while I was studying in Calcutta University. There are around 16 hostels provided by the university. I was staying in the "PG Lady student's hall". The rooms in our hostel are spacious and well facilitated.

Admission

My admission was done on the basis of the CAT entrance exam and scored valid marks of 60% and I also scored 6.2% in my BA. I fill out the form online and then attended the group discussion and then personal interview. I chose an MBA course because I decided that it would be good for my career.

Faculty

The faculties of our college were great. They are all highly qualified and talented too. They were always ready to help us in any way possible and we can also freely ask them our doubts and queries. The faculty-student ratio is 7:49.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

Placements are good sometimes but not exactly sure because some batches are not placed somes are placed or somes are not then they trying to get placement for own if i talk about the percentage of placement then i would say 60% not 100%,for 3rd semester students are eligible for placement & one terms is here that is 75% attendance is mandatory for getting placement, i have visited 3-4 companies & they offer 3.7-4 lpa package,my plan after getting the degree, firstly i looking for a company around 4-5lpa package then i started to develop my self

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

We get from internship opportunities and placement from our college. Companies like Reliance, ITC, Rollick, cavin kare, Reckitt, EY and many visit our campus for final placement. We become eligible to appear for placement from the 3rd semester onwards

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Last semester students become eligible for campus placements. Name of the companies visited - TCS, WIPRO, MICROSOFT, TATA, IBM , AMAZON etc. 51,00,000/yr highest package and average package 5,50,000 as per company and profiles offered. 97% students are getting placements. My plans start a business after getting the degree.

A insider look at University of Calcutta

The college had been there for a comparatively a long period of time, that is since the 1970s. The department boosted on a strong alumni background and had a better student yo teacher ratio. The fees for the college was very less compared to other colleges. The college also provides placement facilities as well as internship options. 2 Years in MBM.

The financial burden in Department of Business management is minimum and does not bother anybody. However I would rather say that the entire course of Management should be mostly Practical then theoretical.
