Remarks

The infrastructure of the Department of Business management is nice and the classrooms, labs, library, canteen, etc are well maintained. The campus life of our college is also great. I had a lot of fun with my classmates and also the faculties are very supportive of us and the same goes for our seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In the 1st and 2nd semesters, we studied general management and in the 3rd and 4th semesters, we studied our specialized areas and our exams were conducted at the end of every semester. The University offers dual specialization-major and minor, and I chose Marketing and Financial management.

Placement Experience

4

The placement in our college is good. Companies like Axis, Amul, Mahindra Finance, Vodafone, ICARA online, etc are the recruiting companies of our particular department. Around 34% of students are placed on campus and Indian Firms placed through campus placement is 71%.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides scholarships to meritorious students, weak students, etc. Eligible students can avail of the University scholarships, Scholarship and fellowships(UGC), Scholarships AICTE, Scholarships DBT.

Hostel Facilities

4

The University provides 16 Hostels. And the students from different departments like Arts, Management, Commerce, Technology, and Law, etc. live in the hostels. There separate hostels for men and women. The "UG Lady Student's Hall" is open to any lady students of any University of Calcutta affiliated colleges.

Admission

I pursued an MBA course other than any other course because I wanna learn about business management to become a successful business person. In order to get admission, I took the entrance exam of MAT.

Faculty

5

We have around 7 permanent faculty members, 56 Guest faculties, 11 requisition service, so we have a total of 74 faculty members in our department. And all of them are qualified in their own field of education. So, the faculty-student ratio including the guest faculties would be 74:49.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
