Remarks
A good college that focuses more on academics than on other activities. Extracurricular activities are also encouraged but may be forced to take a back seat with such academic pressure. A lot of focus is on the attendance of students in class and students not attending classes regularly may face consequences.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum in its first year involves basic maths physics chemistry basic programming etc. In the second year you got to read about core subjects like analog electronics, digital electronics. Later on, in 3rd year, you read analog and digital communications and mobile communications as well.
Placement Experience
Placement is good overall for Electronics, electrical, and computer science students who usually bag large packages. It is good for other branches as well. Lots of software companies visit the campus which allows students from every branch.
College Events
Every year there is a technical fest, a cultural fest, and a sports fest. The technical fest is named Innovision and attracts students from a lot of other universities. The cultural fest and sports fest are also good.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is as decided by the HRD Ministry which recently hiked the fees. So it is expensive but poor students can avail themselves of a lot of scholarships as well and as per the rules those with income less than a specified value do not need to pay tuition fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
All the students can avail scholarship from the banks that offer loans during admission in the campus and continue to avail it provided they maintain a decent CGPA over the course of time. A lot of scholarships are also being offered to poor and meritorious students about which you will be notified.
Campus Life
Most of the labs have the proper equipment to conduct experiments. There are different cricket, volleyball, football, badminton fields where students can play different games. Some indoor games like carrom and table tennis can be played in hostels.
Hostel Facilities
Most of the students staying in the institute opt for hostels. The hostel infrastructure is one of the best in India. However the quality of food served may be a bit of concern for students. The hostel is kept clean and hygienic.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are really helpful. You can seek placements tips from them and they will be glad to help you out. The alumni network also helps to arrange for different companies to visit our campus for recruitment.
Admission
First, you need to appear for jee mains exam conducted every year. You need to qualify to jee mains and then apply for different NITs through JOSAA which is a common admission process for all NITs. We can give higher preferences for colleges that we want.
Faculty
There are sufficient professors in the institute. However, the quality varies individually. Some professors are really good and you may find their classes interesting whereas a lot of professors take classes in a boring way that is not interactive.
