Review about KGCE college karjat

Good college having good academics, good infrastructure, good faculty, good extra curricular within feasible fees. Just it needs to work more on good placements, giving all students opportunity to work on latest technologies and bringing new technologies in college.

Computer engineering course in KGCE follows mumbai university pattern. Course provides theoretical as well as practical knowledge. This course focuses on basic programming languages and also on latest technologies like Python, big data. You will hands on these technologies through projects and practicals. KGCE has CSI membered team which organizes practical workshops regarding IOT, robotics, web development. This course has 2 unit tests, practical and oral exams and written test in each semester. Exam pattern is moderate.

When it comes to placement and internship, this college is not that good. College doesn't provide internships. They do encourage to do internship but we have to find it ourselves. College is bringing low scale companies for placement that disappointes every student. College need to work on that.

College has NSS committee which organised many events for social work. This committee make student aware of their social responsibilities. Also, our college annually participate in Mumbai university's event. No of students participated and had record of getting rank.

College offers TWFS and EBC schemes. Students having family annual income less than 4 lack and good merit can opt for TWFS. In TFWS, tuition fee is not included. Other scheme is EBC i. e if you are from economically backward class and opted for it then you will get some percent fees back.

College organizes many events through NSS council to promote safety and awareness among village people. college also organizes sport events. College has committees for each branch. That committee will work for betterment of their branch. These committees will organise workshops of respective branch. Also college has antiragging council, women safety council. Male ratio in mechanical branch is more where as female ratio in extc branch is more. There are students from all religion. College has student council. Posts of these council are given on the basis of voting and interviews.

I didn't opt for hostel but our college has provided hostel facility within affordable prices as heard from my friends. This hostel is nearby our college and has provided all amenities. In case of hostel seats are few,there are other hostels within few distance.

College organizes aluminium meetup after every 2 3 years. You will always get help from senior student or alumnus student regarding your field. They share their experiences with us and tell us about their mistakes that they did in their interviews or career.

I live in badlapur which comes in thane district. I come from financially low family background. Taking admission in top mumbai college was not possible for me. KGCE is a good college I heard from many. I got the admission in KGCE on TFWS (Tuition fee waiver scheme) basis which I selected while filling application form for engineering. I always wanted to do computer engineering and KGCE gave me opportunity to do so and that was also in less fees.

Faculty of KGCE is very supportive. Professors encourage students more to learn the things out of the box. As per my experience, faculty of computer is more cool and supportive. Their way of teaching is also good.
