Remarks

NIT Nagaland is located in Dimapur and is one of the 31 National Institute of technology in India. The location of the college is at around 10 km from the airport and one can reached the college through vehicle. The environment and temperature of the college and around the college is very good and it is dry and tobacco free campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

NIT Nagaland offers four course namely 1. Civil Engineering 2. Mechanical Engineering 3. Electrical Engineering 4. Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering 5. Computer Science Engineering and 6. Electronics and Communication Engineering

Placement Experience

4.5

There are more than 20 companies that use to come in our college for placements and job opportunities and many students got selected and also get a good package. Yes our college too provide internship but I have very less knowledge on this.

College Events

5

There are many events celebrate in our college like football tournament, futsal tournament, gully cricket, cricket tournament, badminton, kabaddi, Essay competition, science exhibition, Quiz competition, Ekarikthin, cultural fest, and many more and among all the list Ekarikthin if the biggest and the most popular in our college where people from all walks of life participate in the even. It is celebrated every year in the month ofArch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible as it is a college of National importance and so tuition fee is exempted for all the ST and SC students studying in any NIT or IIT. For every SC and ST students one needs to pay 30400 only in one semester which include everything.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some Scholarship we can apply like Siemens Scholarship, Ishaan Uday and one can also apply in NSP. There are some banks that offers lifetime free credit cards for students of NIT Nagaland.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many events organise in our college like football, cricket tournament, badminton, kabaddi, Essay competition, science exhibition, Quiz competition, Ekarikthin, cultural etc etc. The sex ratio of male students is very much higher than girls students.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors are quite helpful and are very kind and polite to us and they are always ready to help when we need them and vice versa. We use to play together, laugh like hell, they also correct us for our mistakes not to repeat the same.

Admission

To her into any NIT or IIT at first we have to get through JEE main and advance, and so I have the exam too and I got through the main and then I waited and applied for CSAB and there I got my seat at NIT Nagaland and then I paid my acceptance fee and got into the college.

Faculty

4

As NIT Nagaland is still under developing and was established just a few years back so in some departments there are less faculty and so some course are taught by Scholars students and yaa some Faculty are good equipped and are pretty good.

Placement Experience:

Look in CSE only service-based companies generally come but if you have skill then you can go for off-campus till 2021 college placements were pretty average but now it's below average this year itself highest till now is 10 LPA (2025 batch passout) For other branches core companies will come and they will pay you from 6lpa to 10 lpa . Highest for 2025(7th sem ) 10lpa Lowest for 2025(7th sem ) 4 lpa Average is around 6 to 7 lpa I hope in the 8th sem more companies will come and offer better pay

Course Curriculum Overview:

After learning about all the different courses I thought of going for soil science as it is the basis of all the other agricultural sciences. Practical classes exposes us to various real world experiences. The only area where our college can improve is providing better facilities for practicals. The frequency is timing of exams is very comfortable.
