Remarks
College is not very friendly with funding projects and does cause problems with overall progress of projects and is still not autonomous - follows the old dated VTU syllabus. For positive there isn't a lot to say but the college is overall good.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course syllabus us outdated (as with any VTU affiliated college) but helpful for post graduation due to strong fundamentals. However, it isn't up to mark for today's industry if anyone wishes to work right after graduation. There is more reliance to extra curriculars like IEEE and SAE.
Placement Experience
Placements vary highly among branches. Branches like Computer Science, Electrical, Information Science and Electronics have great placements (upwards of 90%) but other branches (like Mechanical and Civil) have sub par placements. College doesn't offer any internships whatsoever.
College Events
We have a total of 3 fests a year Department Fests - where each branch organizes events Technical fest - for technical events (name varies each year based on the theme) Cultural Fest - Utsaha The biggest fest under VTU colleges with various exhibitions, artists, shows and the crowd pleaser ROAR.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible under the right methods of admission. Based on CET it's usually upto 70000 and 185000 with COMEDK. Management Quota admission vary widely based on demand and branch but can go upto 4. 5LPA for certain branches
Fees and Financial Aid
College offers scholarship mostly to SC/ST and sports involved students. Haven't had any luck in trying to get scholarship. Loan facilities are not available directly, but through the bank that operates in the college
Campus Life
Labs are extremely well equipped with good equipment. Teachers allow us to use them for our projects. Lab in-charges also are pretty helpful. Overall a good experience with laboratories. Extra curriculars are widely participated by students of all backgrounds, prominently under IEEE and SAE.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is helpful. There is active interaction especially through LinkedIn. Annual Alumni meets also help in the interaction. Alumni also interact with the first years during the induction program period.
Admission
Entrance exam - COMEDK (based on first list). It is an exam based on 11-12th grade syllabus with the results based on ranking system. Based on ranks cutoffs for various colleges are decided and admission process furthers based on that and document verification.
Faculty
They're well qualified to say at least. Not very friendly, however co-operative. They indulge in extra curriculars and support innovation. Professors do help a lot with Technical aspects of projects and workshops.
