Remarks

They lack the internship program and job recruitment is almost nil, it should be worked with concerned people so that sutudents don't have to run here and there. also a councelling cell would be a welcome step

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The engineering curriculum is very challenging yet fascinating. Where it is thought provoking and opens different dimentions of knowledge to a learner. Engineering is the foundation of modern day world and the more to come.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements are not regular owing to situation in Kashmir. Internship is not provided by college. This is a negative point and should be correct atleast there should be internship if not the placement

College Events

4.5

Techinal events are organised to develope skill and showcase projects. Cultural events are parcel of identity. They are big and many celebrities and high profile guests are part of such events. Students like it, and is jam packed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's 38000 roughly per year excluding transport and hostel as it's optional. It's dirt cheap when compared to rest, which makes it upto 250000 roughly for the course. It won't make a hole into one's pocket

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided by government on basis of merit, the college doesn't provide any of the two mentioned in question unfortunately. Maybe things will change in future anyways the fee structure isn't so costly to manage

Campus Life

4

The labs are well equipied with all the necessary machines and apparatus. The teachers are qualified and trained to guide students. Lot of prototypes have been made there, the gender ratio is higher for females in extracurricular activities. All religions, races, everything are respected. There is no discrimination on any basis.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very friendly and guide. The network is good even my seniors are in my touch and we share a good bond with each other. in or out of college it's awesome to be around them with creative ideas and implementation

Admission

I had to qualify through common entrance test held at state level. The course of engineering is what fascinated me as a child thus chose to find what lies beyond it. The college is one of the old school of engineering in Kashmir and has been producing very efficient engineers. Admission process is simple as one has to qualify the exam and wait for merit list. After which one has to attending the councelling for allotment of college and branch of engineering.

Faculty

3.5

They are pretty much qualified and friendly in nature. They help in understanding and improvements of individuals. There is a lot to learn from them. The minimum qualification of staff there is M. tech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
