Remarks

Our college has great canteen in the first four four years from when the college started. But when the college depended on just contract of the caterers and not the quality of the food, the food quality is very bad now.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum currently introduced by KTU university in the the year 2015 was the most competitive as the university just began and had to go through a lot of trial and error. I was in 2015 batch.

Placement Experience

IT companies are mostly interested in our college candidates. Mechanical based core companies are not found not only in our college but also most of the college faces a poor placements, but not so much for civil.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Expensive because of christian community. Costs about 88,800/- even for both management quota and merit quota. I got admission via Latin quota, which is a community quota under second allotment results of entrance exam results.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got admission via Latin quota, which is a community quota under second allotment results of entrance exam results. So the only loan I get is from the bank and no college loan is provided, but fee leiviation for some students are made.

Campus Life

Clubs we have are - Sports, Books Reading, Photography, IEDC, NSS, Dance. etc. Labs are standard and the lab faculties of the mechanical division are the moat experienced. I am senior student among the 2015.

Alumni/Alumna

I am senior student among the 2015 batch. As I can see that the alumnus has just been initiated in the year 2020. We look up to our college seniors until we are on our own. Academics is the most important.

Admission

I got admission via Latin quota, which is a community quota under second allotment results of entrance exam results. Although as the college denies that no option for AISAT to be in the second allotment.

Faculty

Most experienced faculties arrive there and teach for 2 or 3 years for more experience and resign. Most faculties are between the age 23 - 25, which is a good thing as they interact with us in more friendly manner.

Life at CET

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

Remarks:

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The most special thing about the college is those memorable friendships with the faculties whos understand students very well.
