Remarks

Not as such complaints. Just one minor thing,My college was outskirts from city. So sometimes communication and transport facilities is little difficult specially at night time. Otherwise is everything is fine.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure is very stream lined with the current modern study syllabus. Microbiology is a research based subject and there is plenty of scope to learning modern research techniques both theoretically and practically. My college is accredited by WBUT and my 3 years course is devided into six semesters exam model. Labs are well equipped with modern lab machines and it's a great place for learning. Sometimes the study pressure was stressful, but eventually,I overcomed it. Exams are not so tough compared to other universities. If you have an fair idea and knowledge about your papers, you can pass with very high marks. Overall the experience was quite good.

Placement Experience

4

Placement provided by my college is quite decent. Some renouned farms in biotechnology and healthcare farms came to hire at campus placement. Biocon,Cipla are one of them. Though I didn't attended the campus placement because I already got my job from other way. But I heard the maximum stipend was offered 3. 5 lakhs per annum for an internship in a healthcare company.

College Events

4

There are many events held in the college every year. 1. Freshers-Every year seniors greets and welcome newly admitted students in the college. Cultural program and DJ night is the main attraction. 2. Annual Sports- It's a sports event for 3 days. Everyone can perticipate in variety of sports events. Cricket tournament and races are the major events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is little expensive as it is a private college. For my 3 years course total 2. 5 lakhs were spent. Per semester it was- Rs/25000. So total it was-1. 5 lakhs. And additional 1 lakh for my staying in a PG nearby, fooding and my expenses for study materials.

Fees and Financial Aid

Unfortunately my college don't offer any loan facility. But about scholarship, the toppers from every years get a chance to visit renouned biotech farms for internship program. The expenses are solely beard by the college trusty itself.

Campus Life

4.5

My college are specialised for the lab facilities And it has the best technicians anyone would love to work with. Many students from northeast are come here for study, especially girls are majority. Everybody are feel safe here and college life is fun here. No political influence is involved here. Economic status are also diversified among the students. Students occasionally do parties and sometimes do small outings. Basically my college believes in an Open culture.

Hostel Facilities

3

Though my college has seperate Boys and Girls hostel facilities. But I didn't opted for that. I opted for Paying guest facility nearby and it was more convenient to me. But I know from my classmates that hostel facilities are good and the average rental per month is within 7000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors were great and helpful. They were like friends with juniors. Ragging is strictly prohibited in our college. So, Everybody is friendly with each other. I have had lots of interactions with my seniors. They gave me a lot of thoughts and insights about my paper. Even I got my first job from one of my senior's reference.

Admission

I love the subject Microbiology and always wanted to study this subject. So,after my 12th I am searching for colleges available to study this subject. I have two options,Some Government colleges or private colleges with state of the art infrastructure. I heard about my college from one of my relative,So,I am interested to visit the college once. So,Oneday I visited the college premises and I talked with the administration people, They cleared my doubts and gave me proper insights about my subject. I really like the infrastructure of the college and faculties are also well experienced. So,I decided to join this college. There are two type of admission procedure. One through written exam and other through marks basis by 1st come 1st serve basis. Fortunately I got the admission through my marks of 12th.

Faculty

4.5

The facilities are highly supportive and they are highly qualified in their respective field of teaching. They are profesional but they are quite friendly with the students. If someone is willing to learn something or want to clear some doubts in their study, Faculties are quite happy give them extra time after college hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
