Good people, teachers and students. Lack of research facilities and research work is minimal. The faculty to Student ratio is very poor. Less attention is given to common Student problems and teaching should be improved
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is tough, We have to study more than 25 subjects thoroughly and pass in each exam to get the degree. There are 2 exams per semester Mid Sem + End Sem. You need to score marks well such that your overall score in above 35 %
Placement Experience
Internship and Placement opportunities are good and increasing day by day. More and more companies are registering and visiting the campus. The college also provides internship opportunities but only to internal students with 10000 monthly stipend
College Events
Various festivals, competitions, meetups, workshops are organised throughout the year. Concetto is the annual techno-management festival and Srijan is the annual Cultural-Social fest. Participation is from various colleges including other IITs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is different for different courses. Providing detailed explanation is far from my scope, It can be refered from the college website. As a Student I have to pay Rs. 200000 per year + 60000 other charges including food, Hostel, internet
Fees and Financial Aid
One of the biggest scholarship that is provided to students based on merit cum means basis is the annual MCM scholarship. Their are several other scholarships given by the state govt. , NGOs and alumnus.
Campus Life
Sports facilities are good. Their is a Student Activity Centre that provides all indoor games. Whereas separate fields are available for hockey, football, cricket, athletics and festivals. The overall growth is ensured within the campus if the student is interested
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are good but the rooms are small. 2 people are accommodated within one room. We have Lan ports, lights and fans in each room. The mess is available in each Hostel and each Hostel has their separate canteen, common room, playing room, badminton courts
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the alumni base is very strong as the college is 95 years old. We have a separate group of students to manage Institute alumni relation. We invite 50 years old alumni each year in our annual alumni festival basant. We have a good alumni base
Admission
I have JEE Advanced exam and secured a rank. The rank allowed me to get a seat in the college. I have a great time coming to college for the first time and the admission date was exciting. I was ready with the document verification process
Faculty
Most of the faculty are experienced with a P. hD degree under their name. Some of them teaches fantastic while some others are a total waste to teaching community. They are Always involved in teaching old regular stuffs in the most boring way
