Remarks

To summarize, BITS Pilani is a great place for one's development. The environment is set such that one can pursue his/her dreams without being bothered about the complusions by the college. Also there's 0% attendance policy that helps the most.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course structure is good and practical. But also let's one focus on his/her own interests. Exams are mostly 2 types- closed book and open book. Class tutorial tests are usually closed book. Finals are generally of 2 types as mentioned.

Placement Experience

Placements are good in IT/Electronics. Internships session is held after 3rd year. Students get ample opportunities to appear for companies. There's a high conversion rate of internships to full time offers. And for IT branches there's nearly 100% placements.

College Events

Oasis - Cultural fest (India's biggest) BOSM - Sports Fest APOGEE - Technical fest Apart from these, there are large number of guests lectures, academic events that keep happening around the year. And all these are handled by students only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Being a private college, fees is expensive. It costs around 10-12 lakhs for 4 years at Pilani. Also, there a 15% hike in fees at the end of each year. Most of the students get education loans. So, scholarships are good way to help here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Most students avail the scholarship provided by the college. There are two- Merit scholarship and Merit-cum-need scholarship. Merit cum need scholarship covers a large number of students. Other students get through bank loans and usually repay it after getting placed.

Campus Life

The college provides everyone all oppurtunies to go for extra curricular activities. Faculty is cooperative for these kind of things. Labs are fully provided with required equipment. There are occasional workshops, street arts, plays. All in all it's a happening place.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network of BITS Pilani is best among the world. Alumni are great and very very helpful for students and graduates. There are common fundings, recruitment drives and other things that Alumni conduct.

Admission

BITS have an entrance exam called BITSAT. Computer based exam and scores are displayed on spot. After that we fill our preference list and seats are allocated accordingly. The preference list is filled for all branches in all 3 campus - Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

Faculty

The senior faculty is experienced and hard working. The knowledge transfer is great for a willing student. Research projects are kinda lite but students get good opportunities to pursue upon by the faculty

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The admission process of my college includes an eligibility test, BITSAT, the scores of which determine admission into thsi college. I had appeared for the test in PCB subjects instead of PCM. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
