Remarks
There are lots of positives. Environment is very clean. No pollution. Shimla is nearby. So you can travel a lot of places. Quite place so you can focus on your studies. Negatives : People are too comfortable and not connected with other students from other universities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Jaypee University of information technology provides bachelor of technology in computer science, information technology, electronics and communication,civil, biotechnology, and bioinformatics.There are some masters of technology and master of science courses available.There are some PhD courses also.I think computer science is a good course if you want a job after four years.Biotechnology and bioinformatics courses are also good in the college.There are 3 exams in a semester called T1,T2,T3 each of 15,25,35 marks respectively.These all are added in the end and 25 marks are internal assessment.
College Events
Le fest is the annual fest of the juit.Many celebrities come to perform at that time.Murious is the technical fest of jaypee university of information technology.Tech talks and various other events are held at that time.Prakaram is the annual sports fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
You have to pay semester wise fee for 8 semesters.Tution fee for one semester is 90000 and the hostel fee is 52500.Tution fee may vary.It's quite expensive for the value you get from it.But fee for hostel is feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no scholarship that I know of is being offered.But you can avail loan from various banks at the time of councelling at Jaypee institute of information technology.You can also opt for student loans.
Campus Life
There are many extracurricular activities in the campus.You can join various groups for that.There are 11-12 computer labs.Labs for physics, biotechnology and bioinformatics students are also available.
Hostel Facilities
There are Wi-Fi facilities,lan in hostels,blowers in room.A library is available with 15 days return policy.The quality of the hostel is good but not as expected.Medical facilities are also available, and there is a less scope for sports and games.Good quality of food is available.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network I don't think is very good and it's not helpful at all.They need to take care of that.Senior students are helpful.There is no ragging of any kind.People are friendly as most of them are from himachal.There are people from other states also and they are friendly also.Its a diverse environment.
Faculty
Some faculty members are highly qualified and some are not much good, especially in the electronics branch.The faculty members give their best to make the students understand the concepts.Much importance is given to attendance, which should not be encouraged in an engineering college.PhD students are also there to help with the subjects There are too many restrictions on students, especially on girls.
