Remarks

College had very good management it was awesome overall no bad comments not at all.

Entrance Preview

I gave Punjab university exam. This college had lots of options with b.a such as public administration.

Course Curriculum Overview

The electives were HCP,economic, pol science, punjab computer application. Sociology, Psychological, Maths,English and Punjabi also as electives history culture of punjab.

Internships Opportunities

Companies like HCl,IBM, kotak, hdfc, dell, wipro, satyam sapient such companion came .They gave very good package in all fields in every aspects well provided package.

College Events

College had lots of functions events all over Punjab university. College was too big and good good faculty good accommodation best event's organized gull of dance songs skits etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail but college consisted of scholarship which was both in form of certificate. Cash and medal too. No loan facility was provided from the college.

Campus Life

Gender ratio was almost equal number of males and females.

Exam Structure

Yes exams occur end in December and exam was compulsory looking vat the attendance if attendance was shot no exam was allowed . Final exams occurred in April.

Placement Experience:

About college placement, there is a placement cell which provides the information about the companies in 5th sem. We have to fill a form where we agree to join the placement cell opportunity when companies arrive. As so many big companies arrive the chances of success is less. But if you give your best you will definitely get selected.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Relevance of course is all theory but if we talk of it for real world it's not much that. Course should be more focused towards skill builder and not reading only. No practical hand experience over computer applications that are actually needed like excel advance or formulas. BBA generally offers various specialisation in the last year but they only have HR and if anybody wants to go for other options like marketing or finance which are basic for all they try to get them enrolled in HR ONLY. THEY HAVE REFUSED TO BRING MARKETING OR FINANCE FACULTY FOR STUDENTS.

Review Of GGDSD College

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester Students Are Eligible For Placements. Companies Like Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank And IBM. All The Placement Info Is On The Website Itself But The Requirement To Sit in Placements Is Atleast 75% Score In All Of The Sems Combined. My Score Was Not Above 75 So I'm Going For Off Campus Jobs.

GGDSD COLLEGE FROM STUDENTS PERSEPECTIVE

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Punjab university offers admission to those students those have good grades in class 12th. HONEST REVIEW BY OF GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH BY A STUDENT

Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
