M.Tech in Instrumentation at JCET

They treat students like inmates.You have to chance that.There is no feeling of freedom once you are inside the campus.You cannot even leave the college gate to even have food from outside the campus.The decipline officers make you feel like you're an inmate.

The course structure was fine.The course is semester based and there are seminars and labs in almost all the semesters except the final semester, which is completely upto you as it is solely comprised of master research project.

The placements are practically non existent.There were zero companies coming in for placements related to my field of study.There were some IT companies that came for recruiting.I would say that the placements are below average.The college does not provide internships or stipend.

There are technical fests conducted on an yearly basis.There is no participation of students from nearby or any other colleges though.Cultural fests are also organised on an yearly basis, for which they collect a fee from every student compulsorily.

During my period of studying, the fee structure was in part with other colleges.The fee structure was based on semesters.My course had a fee of ?67000 per semester.Some other branches of study has higher fee structure.

There is absolutely no scholarship or loan facility that is being offered by the college.There is fee concession for students belonging to minorities and that too for bachelor's courses only.I would recommend to not expect any sort of scholarship or concession or loans to be provided by the college.

The extracurricular activities are average.There are facilities for sport activities and there is an annual sports day.There are no form parties or anything of that sort.There is no issue with being belonging to any gender, race, religion, etc.

No.There were not a lot of seniors who we could look upto for advice.The ones who graduate often never come back or contribute in an alumni network.The college doesn't take any effort to keep in touch with former students or to engage the current students with the former students for guidance or advice.

I had completed my bachelor's and wanted to pursue my master's in the same field as I had great interest in the field.The admission process was simple.You had to have a valid GATE score and you could directly walk in for admission once they start accepting students diet the particular term.

The faculty were not very knowledgeable in the course.At the time, none of the faculty had any experience in almost all the subjects but some faculties took some extra effort to learn some of the subjects and taught them well while some others didn't care at all.
