Remarks
It's a place to study.Those who actually wants to study, can't get anything better than this.It's library, one of Asia's biggest library, serves a very helping hand.It lacks jobs placement, which will get better with time.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Hons course has a very good and detailed structure of syllabus, design to make you learn the subject thoroughly.One can master the subject, if studied with discipline.Research facilities are at its best in AMU.Exam pattern is semester based examination, which in my point of view is a bit hectic for students.
Placement Experience
Job opportunities are not at its best here.Some big companies reach out for hiring, including TCS, Tech Mahendra, Cloud certitude, etc.In some department, there is a facility of internship as well, but it is limited.
College Events
A lot of fests, including cultural, educational, takes place across various departments of the AMU.There are certification provided to attend the various technical fest and lecture taking place.Sir Syed day is celebrated as a festival across the university, that includes dinner for all, award ceremony, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible.I can say that because I did my graduation and post graduation, within the amount of Rs15000 and Rs 25000 respectively.This type of fee structure has been set by keeping in mind the economical conditions of various sections of the society.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are a number of scholarship given to reserved category students.Some of them are Muslim umma scholarship, Scholarship given by RCA, etc.I haven't got any scholarship given by the university.But its a good step to help underprivileged students to make them study and develop their future.
Campus Life
There are numerous sports played in the university including cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, basketball, etc.The university organises interhall tournament for all of them.The gender ratio, according to me is a bit higher side for the male candidates.But people from various religion come to study here, that includes foreign national as well.Economically, this is not the best university.Also, it has a lot of political impact which causes a lot of police actions, strikes, etc.that disturbs the decorum of the campus.
Alumni/Alumna
A lot of alumni are supporting the university financially, most of them are working in foreign nationals.The senior students are very helpful here, in case of study pattern, study materials, attendance, etc.
Admission
I applied for the graduation course(B.Sc(Hons) Maths) on the website of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).I appeared for the entrance test, and fortunately cleared it in my first attempt.Then admission formalities took place and that's how I got the admission in AMU.
Faculty
The faculty at department of mathematics, where I did my graduation, is extremely experienced and hard working.They are always ready to help you.Furthermore, the faculty at computer department, where I did my PG, is very innovative in their respective field.Overall, it's a great privilege to study there.
