college life of HBTU

Nobody will say anything negative about their college because it is college only which teaches you about the life the struggle we will be facing once we get graduated. overall college is good but if you expect something extraordinary then it is not a place for you.There is not so much adventure in HBTU.

The course curriculum is not up to date but it is not outdated. In HBTU there are disciplines of engineering such as plastic,paint,oil,leather which you will not find in other UP colleges.The labs are very old here and the machinery are old too but some machines are there that you will not find anywhere.

The placement no doubt is far better than most of the college mostly all the CS & IT guys placed till the last semester in big companies like samsung,oyo,optum. The big plus is the placement of chemical technology students they have a huge advantage in HBTU.Big companies like reliance,hero,maruti, exxon mobil visit the campus for recruitment as well as training for the 3rd year students. Even sometimes psu like IOCL visit the campus for recruitment.

There are various technical, cultural, entrepreneur events organised in the college on a regular basis.cultural and technical fest like adhaayay and odyessey are organised by the cultural and technical committee.sports fest aagaz is organised, E-cell summits are also organised,even alumni meet is organised yearly.

The fees structure has been changed since HBTI has changed to HBTU that is from the forming of University. The fees for 1st year student has been changed from 92300 to 134000 the hike is real. Earlier I can say that the fees is feasible but now most of the students will not be able to get admission in this prestigious university.

First let me tell you there are no loan facilities available for the students.students of lower caste get their fees refunded by applying through Uttar Pradesh government scholarship program even general people can apply for the same but their income should be less than 200000 per annum.

There are seats reserved for girls through girls qouta that is 20%. Now coming to the activities regular workshops are organised by clubs like dramatic,hobby,robotic, mechanical,dance,singing which motivate the students to come out if their comfort zone and perform and remove the hesitation.

The first year hostel which is the best and closest to college is good.other hostels are made outside the college premises 5-6 km far away which creates problem for students. Infrastructure wise the first year hostel is best and the other hostels are very old so there is always some problem in these hostels especially in rainy season.otherwise all the things are at par the rooms are big enough.

The boon for HBTU students are their alumni network. Alumni network of HBTU is so vast that you can find HBTU alumnus in any field whether it be startup, technology, managerial, motivational speaker like everywhere. The seniors as well as alumnus are very helpful and provide financial and moral support to the students.

The admission is based on the JEE(Joint entrance examination).generally people with rank till 100000 get admission in HBTU but only students with Uttar Pradesh (UP) domicile get admission in the college

The faculty is just like any other government college. The permanent faculty is good but they are scarce in number and the guest faculty which are recruited if good will not be able to survive in the college or otherwise they dont know how to teach whatever degree they are holding
