Review- [UCER], Allahabad

People learn from their mistakes and they learn from other's mistakes too. Hence I sincerely urge the students who are reading this review is that if you really want to end your social existence and convert yourself into another useless and incompetent engineer/perso, "just stay from this college".

I am pursuing electrical engineering. For my course as well as what I have known from colleagues of different branches is that in our college, the approach is book-based rather than focusing on a practical approach. Hence that's the main why we are unable to crack bigger examinations after doing engineering.

The only company that provides wholesome placement opportunities is Infosys which is an IT company. So students of other branches have no other options. Also, a campus recruitment center is made in our college but it really doesn't give help much to those students other than CS-IT branch No it doesn't provide any internships.

There are various technical fests such as Udbhav, Managerial fests such as Udaan. Also, the cultural fest includes Enigma. But they are of no importance as they are filled with Nepotism, Corruption, and partiality. The no. of participants are also quite less.

The fee structure is feasible for scholarship-provided students but for general students, it's quite expensive given that the placement opportunities are quite less. Also, there is the absence of healthy infrastructure so the Cost to Return ratio is very bad.

No, the college doesn't provide any scholarships to students. However, the state government and minority ministry provide cumbersome scholarships to an adequate amount of students. They don't provide a loan facility but since they don't pressure students to pay up fees and the fine is very less for late fee payments.

The only good lab our college has is in the CS-IT branch because the only thing they need is computers. Other than that my college has nothing to offer. The equipment in electrical are more than 8-10 years old. They have become faulty and don't give a proper reading at the time of the experiment.

This college is so bad that after passing from this college no one wants to look back or be in contact with any of the faculty members. Also since the education here is attendance centric, everyone is busy doing classes so as to keep up their attendance percentage. Hence the senior-junior network is diminished.

You have to take an entrance exam and then you will give certain options for college as per your rank in the entrance exam. I was admitted through the direct admission process because my rank was quite good in the entrance exams.

What I can say from my experience and my respective faculties is that my college has one of the faculties you can ever imagine. They don't have enough knowledge to make you understand different subjects. Also, their only focus is on attendance rather than teaching. They teach through handmade notes from previous students. They are certainly not connected to the students and instead of acting like a teacher, they act like a boss who likes to give orders.
