My college experience

The fame of this college is very high in haryana but it's all myth don't take admission in this college if you have misconceptions about this college because you will be disappointed of not finding things you wish for. Academic's, placement, research opportunities are good from any other college in haryana but not that good as you expect it.

Course structure is very old no motivation for research and labs are small and they only tell you what to do not it's theory and applications. There major drawback is that because it is government funded the funds came late.

Jobs and placement's are Very important expect to judge any college but the in this college very few companies come for placement's. The reputation of this college is very high outside but in the reality you will be disappointed. Only one company Amazon give the placement around 27lpa and the average placement of the college is 3-5lpa.

There is the major fest named Element Culmyca which is 3 days cultural fest of the college. In which all clubs take part and show there talent. It brings positive atmosphere to the college and if you are in any cultural club then you learn about team work and time management.

There is scholarship for category students. If you top in semester you get a reward of 5k -10k Rupees with a certificate and medal from college. For girl student this price is even more Around 25k. You also get tution fee wavier if your parent annual income is less then 2. 5 lacs. For loans there is no facility.

This College collect maximum students from haryana region so diversity not that much. There are many cultural and technical society like srijan, natraja, vivekanad munch, jhalak are some cultural society and manan, ACM, IEEE, geeksforgreeks are some technical society. The gender is ratio is not that good 3:10. There is also a political clubs like ABVP, NSUI, ASFA.

This college has completed 51years of service and has good alumni network. College provide a session to get a conversation with our alumni in cultural fest to get more about current industries requirements. The CEO of Japanese based Air conditioning company is from this college. They made centre of excellence in the college.

jee mains is the criteria to get into this college. A merit based system to get preferred branch. Your rank must be less then < 25k to get seat in computer engineering. Log in website for admission is HSTES.

Faculty for average branch is average but for computer engineering branch it is worst. They can fail you without coming in a single class. And if you go for correction in semester paper they become angry and can deduct marks.
