Great faculty and excellent lab infrastructure

Overall college is great with a great team of faculty members

The course curriculum covered the base of all the Biotechnology required. The semester exams were 7, 2 each in each year with the last semester being a compulsory Internship. The internship being inhouse or outhouse is the best part to mold the students to impart their knowledge in practical application.

We had placement sessions at the end of our 4th year. There were good companies and among them, I was placed in one of the biggest biotech companies in India i.e. Biocon.

There was specifically two events that took place all around the year during 2012-2016. It was a sports festival and an annual cultural festival. It was pretty huge since all the departments of D Y Patil university were involved. Used to be a lot of fun

The fee with the basis of infrastructure was pretty much okay. There was not so much hassle except the fact it was not digital transfer during my time. I am pretty sure it has been started now. There was clear transparency in the college fee breakdown

I did not opt for any scholarships or loan. During my times, my father helped me out with the college fees

The gender ratio in my class was almost 1:4 female to male ratio. There were lot of extracurricular activities all around the year including the sports and the annual fest. Lot of clubs to join including the art, literary and dance during my times.

Seniors can be helpful when you find out the right person for the kind of help you require. You need to weigh your choices before you jump to conclusions

I was referred by my senior who is also my cousin's brother regarding this college. I got positive feedback from him and was introduced to the dean and other alumni who gave positive feedback regarding this university. Also, the infrastructure of the laboratory for in-hand practice was one of the best which made me opt for this college rather than the other colleges i got opted for.

Most of the faculty are either PhD or pursing PhD. There is no doubt in their base of knowledge in specific domain. The lectures were pretty varied and covered all the courses of the Biotechnology field from research to application. The faculty is always ready to help the students in case of any doubts in works and assignments.
