Remarks

The college is ok. The student have to deal with their college stuffs with their fellow mates and less with their faculty. The college is good for entertainment but for studies, it is a bit doubtful.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The college comes under the University of Mumbai. The courses are outdated for today's standard considering the industry requirement. There are some reinforcements to cover up the industry requirement, but most of them are useless. The exam structure is divided into 3 segments. The first segment is internal exams. These exams covers the 1/3 of the syllabus. This exam occurs twice in each semester. The second segment is the practical/viva exams. This exams conducts practical experiments and/ or viva exams depending on the subject in each semester. The final segment is external exams or end semester exams. This exams covers the whole syllabus of the subject. Also happens each semester.

Placement Experience

3

This college have a total of 6 fields in the engineering department. They only manage to bring the IT companies. Even if the student is from the department other than Computer or IT department, they will still send to for that job. And if they are outnof options for the IT jobs, they will shamelessly bring the BPO jobs. The college doesn't provide any internships. If the student is able to get internship on its own, the college faculty doesn't care if the student is in midway of its internship, they force them to come back to college else they will put absent on their attendance.

College Events

2.5

The biggest college festival is Alegria. It is of 4 days. It includes all the events like the tech fest, the sports competition, the art fest and the special events in the evening like EDM, comedy or a concert night divided into 4 days. In this fest, they also bring some of the biggest stars and also the bollywoods actors/actress for their movie promotions. Apart from this, the college also have the cultural festival where the students wear their cultural dress and attend special performances.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is divided according to the reservation system made by the Govt. of India. In that way, it is divided into 3 categories. The SC/ST category have to pay around Rs. 16000- 18000 per year. The OBC/EBC have to pay around Rs. 56000- 60000 per year. But they have to pay the whole fees. They have to apply for some scholarship to get the half of the money refunded. The General category have to pay Rs 112000- 120000 per year. The categories doesn't check whether the family is rich or poor, if they have the required documents to satisfy the required checks to be in that category, they can pay accordingly. In general, the fees is in between feasible and expensive depending o the family.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is tied up with a local bank to provide you with the loan for the college fees. The loan is less expensive than the student loans in the market. Apart from that there is a scholarship for the economically backward class where you get the 50% amount refunded from the college fees. The college as such doesn't provide you with the scholarship.

Campus Life

2.5

The student body includes the student council that undertakes the college fest and other cultural fest happens in the college. Other student body council includes IEEE-PCE, CSI, ETSA and other councils. The stundent body council is horrible to work in and mostly they only choose people if you are a close friend of them. Also the college faculty doesn't support most of the student body councils. The college have their basketball, cricket, football, badminton teams that competes with other colleges.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of seniors doesn't know about the stuffs that they are doing. Also most of them are kinda helpful. They recently started and alumni network for that past students. They also have an official insragram page for this.

Admission

After the results of the entrance exam is out, there is a portal for filling out the colleges and the field in which you want to persue. For a graduate course, there are 3 rounds in which you have to select a college with desired course. There is also an option for donation if you have a lot of money for last minute seat reserving. The donation fee depends on the college. Fill the admission form with the required documents and pay the fee.

Faculty

3

The faculty of this college varies from department to department. Most of them have good knowledge about their field. Rest of them mostly memorise it by heart according to the topic they want to teach. If you want to go and ask help from the faculty, they will deny. And when the student succeed in something like some intercollege competition, they just hog your success.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
