Abhijit Hatikakoty's Review On Sibsagar Commerce College, Sibsagar

Overall our Sibsagar Commerce College is very good. As it is situated near the Sivasagar Tank so the environment of our college is very peaceful and very beautiful. Our college is progressing day by day in every field. In every field like Education, Cultural, Sports etc our college is doing well. Our college is one of the recognised college in Assam.

Commerce provides many career opportunities to the students it is very good option for the students to take commerce. A student can also take professional cources like CA, CMA and CS after completing 10. If not they can also choose BCOM or BBA if they want the bachelor degree. Overall it is the best career option for the srudents to take commerce. As I took BCOM after HS its exam structure is overall upto the mark. But I think the courses should be upgraded.

Yes the placement and job opportunities of our college is average. Recently in 2019 17 of our students BCOM graduated got jobs in Tata Consultancy Service 5 of our students from Hospitality Management got job. Overall it is good. No I don't know that Our college provide Internship or not.

There are many events which are celebrated in our College. Some of them are like Teachers day, Saraswati puja, Silpi Divash, Republic Day, Independence day, Yoga day, Women's day, Environment day, Voters day etc. There are many business seminars which are organised. A weekly Yuva Samorah is organised in the month of February. Every students take part in each and every program organised in the college.

The fee structure if our college is overall good as compared to other colleges. Every student is able to afford the fee which is fixed by the college. There is even free admission procedure in our college for the students who can't afford the fees.

Yes our college provide scholarship facility only for those who are very poor and can't afford money for their studies. But I think the scholarship facility must be improved and must be given to students according to merit basis.

The exteracurricular activities of our college is excellent. Every year a weekly Yuva Samorah is organised where sports, literature, cultural programs are organised where many students participate to showcast theri talent. Many completions are organised every year so that each and every students can show their tallent.

No I didn't opted for college hostel is my house is near the college. The Infrastructure if the Girls Hostel is very good. They have every facility they should get. But the condition of the Boys hostel is very poor. It should be improved. Many boys who stayed in the hostel had given many complaints on the hostel. So its very necessary for the College to improve the infrastructure of the Boys Hostel.

The seniors of our college are very helpful. They have a association named Sibsagar Commerce College Alumni Association. They help every students whenever needed. The Alumni of our college come every year and organise some seminars to interact with the new students and organise various cultural programs.

In my childhood I wanted to become an Automobile Engineer but slowly I started some small business and I got interested on it so slowly I wanted to know more on Commerce and business so I took Commerce as my stream.

The faculty of our college is very good. Every teacher even our Principal sir help each and every student whenever needed. Every faculty member motivates the students to give their best at every field.
