Remarks

Mount Carmel College with all it's good and bad helped me become who I am today. It helped me learn so much and made me mature and understanding in my thinking. I will always recommend Mount Carmel College.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was well rounded with extra choice subjects, which helped gain knowledge apart from the core subjects. Exams were as any other, similar to other colleges. We also had a choice to further specialize in our choice of subjects.

Placement Experience

4

My course included a mandatory internship, which we had to find in our own. The department helped us with the required documents and necessary information. Lots of companies do come in to recruit students. Majority in finance and accounts only.

College Events

4.5

Mount Carmel College has an array of fests, that focus on team work and overall individual development. Fests are based on the various existing departments and competitions will be based on those subjects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. The BCOM regular course is about 56000 per year. Other courses like BCOM ACCA are priced at about 98000 per year. It depends on the course the student opts for. Scholarships are also available.

Fees and Financial Aid

We are provided with an option of paying our fee in two installments. There are other various scholarships provided as well as prizes at the end of the academic years to students who score the highest marks in exams.

Campus Life

4.5

We have plenty of options for extra curricular activities. There are various associations that students can choose to be a part of, to develop and grow as well rounded individuals. Associations like toastmasters, sports, languages, etc exist.

Hostel Facilities

4

I did not opt for the hostel, but yes, we do have hostel facility inside campus. It has now been renovated and has good amenities. The only complaint I have heard of is about the food provided in the student mess.

Alumni/Alumna

I did not get an opportunity to interact with the alumni network. We do have an association of alumni students, but it is not very active. My senior students were very helpful and encouraging. Especially the secretaries.

Admission

Walk-in interview. Any student who was within the cut-off marks criteria had to fill a form and attend the walk in interview. The process was pretty simple and students of mount Carmel PU college had a lower cut off percentage.

Faculty

4.5

Very helpful, knowledgeable, and understanding. Teachers encourage participation in both education and extra curricular activities. Visual PPTs were used to teach and focus was on important topics. Topics were well explained.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

They worked hard and snarly to design a framework that caters to every industry need. Dividing the bcom course into different specialization by which every student can excel in something they are planning to pursue Also the fact that cfa and cma are integrated in the courses makes them value for money
