Remarks

Since the college was deframed because of the ragging but it has gone low from the last 2-3 years, but still you can rarely seniors and juniors fighting over minor issues which becomes mamoth in the long run. So the question is that college authority is n

Entrance Preview

I appeared for WBJEE 2013 exam in which I got around 26000 rank. Since I wanted to study in a good known college so I opted for H. I. T. Since my rank was quite high so I couldn't get any core branch. On enquiring about A. E. I. E branch I found, its a good branch and is growing so without thinking twice I went for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Talking about the course structure, which is accredited by W. B. U. T are good as per content. There is a research & development building separately for research purposes.

Internships Opportunities

Till now only one software company came which hired around 160 students offering a package of around 2. 8 lac/ annum. Another company IBM is set to come at the end of this month. I haven't undergone any internship at any company yet.

Placement Experience

3

Placements used to be good in the earlier times but it has degraded from then. If I talk about the current batch 2015 till now only one company had arrived I. e WIPRO which was set to hire around 300 students but hired only 160. Another company IBM is set to come on 25th of Sept. Furthermore the company that arrives are mainly software oriented. The scene is very bad for the core branches means there are very few core companies that arrives.

College Events

4

Our college organise a technical and a cultural fest. The cultural fest 'RIVERA' is held every year in the early even in semester which goes on for three days. Great classical singers, famous bands are called to perform followed by our own college bands and other programmes. Meanwhile The technical fest is also held in the same even semester which invites different colleges from around india(mostly northern side).

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. I am availing Ministry of Minority Affairs(MOMA) scholarship that pays me around ?30, 000/- every year besides I have also availed loan from UCO Bank.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is something which we are going to miss after passing out. Gender ratio low means you will equally find both boys and girls in every competition and are equally welcomed. We are not allowed any parties officially, but we do have cultural societies which you can find anytime you arrive to our college welcoming, through banners showing different schedules for programmes to be held.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are good even few are excellent at infrastructure but the mess foods are disappointing which I think is the problem of most engineering college. Hostel rent is good for our batch but recently there has been a hike in the hostel rent from ?7, 200/-

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really helping. Right from preparation to tackle the interviews or crack any competitive exam to impress a girl. They will help us in every way. Actually we have an alumni meet every year, in which we get to interact our seniors.

Faculty

3.5

A no. of faculties are well qualified and few are very well qualified, but there hasn't been any research papers published since last 6-7 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else
