Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum was updated one. We had the benefit of learning an updated course because of the PSG institute. Guest lectures and workshops were an integral part of our curriculum. Our external exams were held twice a year and the assessment was done on the basis of class performance and external exam.

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty standard. Our corporate cell bridges the gap between job-aspirants and people in need of a job. Some of the frequent recruiters from our college include Fauresia, ZOHO, PNB Housing, HP Microsoft, etc.

College Events

Blood donation camp, republic day celebration, holi celebrations are pretty prevalent in our institute. Students take part in different cultural activities and portray their talent like rangoli making, dance competition, skit competition, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My annual fee was around 60k for the four years. There were some tweaking in the fee structure on yearly basis. But it was more or less same. Our college is pretty feasible. Other additional expenses are pretty budget friendly as well.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is available for boys and girls separately. All the hostels are pretty feasible and had the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. Students are provided with facilities like water heater, wi-fi connectivity, solar panels, etc.

Admission

Admissions are granted on the basis of the entrance test organized by the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA). Admission process is pretty smooth and the counseling process works on the basis of entrance test scores.

Faculty

Faculty members were all ex-industry professionals and had a sufficient amount of experience. Method of teaching was friendly, they would use live examples from their personal experiences to better explain a topic.

Rmk collegeof engineering and technology has strong placement with excellent percentage. They will train you from 1st year for the placement. The average package is 5-6Lakhs per annum.and the highest pacakge is 66 lakhs.

Placement Experience:

B.tech students will be eligible after they complete their credits before the 3rd year and usually that is the period during which they will be eligible for placements. For integrated M.tech it might be after the 4th year in 5th year,they could get a year for internships which is good for students. This might be considered as my interest in this course.The placement is around 95 percent.My plans after getting the degree is to become a highly skilled person and to get a job in google. Many companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Qualcomm, etc place our campus.There are no such companies that visited and made no offers.

A review about KARE

Placement Experience:

In my college placement start from 7th semester, students get eligible to sit in drives. Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some core firms visited and gave good no of offers. Highest package was around 10 LPA and average near 4.5 LPA depending on profile, mostly software dev, testing and few core engineer role. Around 70% students got placed last year, rest go for higher studies or other prep. My plan after finishing degree is to first try campus offer then aim for higher studies if I not satisfied. Overall placement is decent but still more core companies should come.

The eligibility cut -off should be more than 197. If it is management more than 190 is sufficient for reservation people. The overall admission process was quite good with a good cutoff.
