Remarks
This college has many positive sides. Apart from large classrooms, big playground, good faculty, Good seniors , excellent laboratories there are also many good aspects of our college. My college has a reputation in our area. It is well connected by bus routes. And moreover it is one of the good colleges of west bengal state university.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is all good. And the exam structure is designed in CBCS process. It has six semesters in total. In each semester you have to study atleast 2 core course subjects and practicals. Each core course paper carries 100 marks. And based on your merits you get marks in each paper.
Placement Experience
As this is a b.sc. hons. Course you could get a good job after doing this course but you have to crack competitive exams first. Chances of getting job in this field is quite tough. Otherwise if you want to continue your studies you can apply for M.Sc. No, my college does not provide internships.
College Events
My college celebrated iftar party, frshers welcome, holi , pre durga puja celebrations annual sports in our college premises. In the freshers welcome party they invited many famous singers and bands like kunal ganjawala, ankita , snigdhajit , and the Fossils.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of this course is very low. We have to pay total 7000 rupees per year. I.e. 3500 rupees per semester. Extra we have to pay 1000 rupees for examination fees. This 1000 is the university exam fees for each semester. In all the fees of this course is feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
I listened about the scholarship that was given by government of west bengal and a scholarship that is provided by a trust. But i am not selected in both of these becuse of my marks as well as my family income. Apart from this my college don't provide any loan facility but if you want you can contact a bank for loan. There are severe subjects in our college that are pretty expensive to study.
Campus Life
As per extracurricular activities their is a football team in our college. We can practice football freely in our college ground as our wish. Also there is a dance group of our college. Girls of different departments can join this group if they have a good knowledge about classical or western dance. Labs are also outstanding. The chemistry lab has all the important chemicals that are required in our course. As i have physics as a general subject in my course structure, i have to attend physics lab classes also. This physics lab is also excellent. All the instruments are well maintained. And both the labs have exhaust fans. The laboratory attendent guys are also good and have knowledge respect of their subjects.
Alumni/Alumna
Unfortunately my college has no notable alumni till now. But the senior students are very good. They are also helpful and kind. One of our senior students got selected in iit madras for phd recently. Other seniors are also intelligent. The union of our college is also good.
Admission
After completing my higher secondary exam i got 71% and directly applied in this college through online application process in chemistry hons course. After publishing of merit list, i got selected and admitted through their online admission portal.
Faculty
Faculty is very good in our college. They are all helpful. All the teachers are very wise and kind also. They teach every topic so well that we dont need any private tutors. The laboratory assistant guy has a good knowledge about all the chemicals. He is also a very helpful person.
