Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was pretty good and thorough. I am obsessed with numbers and the curriculum gave me a deep insight into the practical implication of the statistical research. The biological research program was pretty thorough.

Placement Experience

5

The placement cell consisted of one faculty member and three students. They were responsible for coordinating and arranging corporate visits. Most of the students are recruited for the profile of data analysts.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My annual fee was around 20,000 per month and for the two year program, I paid 40k, which is pretty much feasible especially if you look at the high paying jobs you stand to secure after that. The facilities and amenities provided are good.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fellowships are awarded to the phd students. Apart from that, students belonging to a minor category or a reserved category, like ST, SC, OBC are also eligible for relaxation in the fee. Students have to present all the relevant documents.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel was mainly for the research scholars. That's the reason why it was called the scholar's hostel. Though the students from the masters' program were also allocated hostels, subject to availability. Hostel rooms were spacious and had a decent infrastructure.

Admission

I got admission on the basis of my entrance test scores. Actually, after clearing the entrance exam I was called for the interview round. My interview was very critical, the panel tore me to shreds but I handled most of the questions pretty decently.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty was very supportive and qualified. All of them were phd holders and had an ample amount of experience in the field of research. They all were very patient, especially during all those lengthy mathematical calculations.

Placement Experience:

Internships are offered after sem 1. And placement scenario is good, with good packages. Big companies like JP MORGAN, HCL, FIITJEE, GOOGLE, TCS, IPAC, etc. highest package for our course was 37 lakhs/ annum. And minimum was 11 lakh. More than 80% gets placed. My plan is to pursue PhD

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose physics as my interest lies in studies of physics as for the faculty there are 2 campuses for NSUT so there are a lot of faculties each class has a fair gender ratio and faculties are highly qualified in NSUT they take a mid-semester exams and an end semester exam an internal assessment between these exams.

St Stephen's College, Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum is not that light, it requires to be taken seriously throughout. Had done BSc in mathematics so automatically reflex was to pursue a master's in the same subject, that's why opted for it in the first place. But later realized we can do a lot more things with the same course apart from carrying on a Ph.D.

No one can get bored here. Academics are top class. Apart from studies, sports facilities are at their best as well. From indoor to outdoor activities, you are never going to have any complaints regarding these.

Remarks:

Overall the university is good as it's central university and said so the fee is also bearable for financially deprived students. Faculty is good who teach you about subject with focus. The infrastructure is pretty good like ghalib park , tagore auditorium, art gallery etc. One of the biggest library is in jamia.
