Education and environment in VIT University Vellore

Basically, our college is very good for enthusiastic students they will encourage all the students who are interested in their respective fields. There are many clubs in our college that will discover fresh talents and encourage everyone. Our college is having a good atmosphere where the students can have their freedom and to explore their talents.

The course curriculum is briefly prepared and designed. Lectures are quietly talented enough to educate and teach the students. There is very good course timings are there in which the students don't feel any pressure. The curriculum is very good and our seniors were placed during the placements. As this is our final year we are also getting good placements and half of our batch were placed. And when it comes to industrial visits there are faculties who believe in fieldwork and knowledge and we have gone to many industrial visits.

The companies that visited campus for their placements: Capgemini, Oppo, Lenskart, Murugappa finances, MGH Logistics, Epsilon, Surety company, etc. The recruitment drive for these companies is first our placement in charge will forward a link that we have to enter our details and then there will be an exam conducted by the respective companies and there will be rounds those are different from one to another. The tentative percentage of students placed every year from our campus is 60 to 80%. Our institution will conduct soft skills training program about our placements like how to face and they will teach some competitive exams syllabus.

There are many events conducted in our college. When it comes to technical events every year there are some events called hackathons, techno VIT and some other technical events are conducted by different course managements to encourage students' interest. Cultural events and management festivals are conducted frequently according to the occasions. There are 2 big events conducted every in our college about 3 to 4 days those are Gravitas and Riviera. In those events, the winners of sports, cultural, technical are given prizes and for Riviera, we have pro shows and many celebrities will attend the pro shows to entertain us.

Our program fee is about 55,000 rupees and the college will accept through online payments, bank DD. There are no additional fees or charges that had to be paid in order to secure admission to our course. The college will provide transparency in the fee breakdown.

The college offers scholarships in the middle of the year where we have to submit some of our parent's earnings documents based on the amount earned by our parents they will scholarship. There is also another scholarship given to the students based on their merit. The scholarship amount is about 10,000 rupees. A merit scholarship is about 10,000 to 1,000 rupees based on the student's merit level.

In our campus, the male percentage is very high when compared to female students the ratio is about 1:4. But our college has different programs where foreign students are also studying at our university. The workshops are frequently held. Our campus is ragging and harassing free there are no partialities shown to the students.

Our hostels are always kept clean there are many sweepers who always clean the rooms and corridors. The mess food is also good and anyone can easily adapt to it. When it comes to rooms there is an option to choose AC or non AC room and the fee differs and the rooms are of 6 bed, 4 bed, 2 bed, and single bed and the fee differs. When It comes to messing also there are 4 types of mess which we can choose and the money differs those are a veg mess, non-veg mess, special mess, and food park.

Our alumni are very helpful and they are very attentive. Some of our alumni have started their own businesses and they will come to our events sometimes. There is also a program conducted by management to gather the alumni and discuss their lives.

I chose BBA because I have an interest in business and VIT University was referred by my friends and relatives. They suggested VIT because it has a suitable environment and there are many ways to explore through the university. And when it comes to my admission I checked online and I applied with some entrance fees and there was no entrance exam. Management gave a date for counseling and registration. They gave ranks based on our 11th and 12th marks according to the rank wise we were gone in order to register there were only 100 seats for BBA and counseling and registration was for 4 courses BBA, B.com, BSC, BCA and above 1000 members appeared. When my rank came I chose BBA for my graduation.

There are 2000 above faculties are in our whole campus and most of them are having a master degree and many of them done n number of degrees and PhDs and the age runs between 26 to 50 above. When it comes to faculty they are upgrading themselves to the current situation and using many different ways to teach us and they are highly talented and always making the extra time to clarify our doubts. Our lectures are having experience in industries few of them already worked in different companies and then settled as a lecturer.
