About my college

College is overall very good with slight restrictions but they are for benefit of the students only. It has a very good record in placements. It also publishes the highest number of a research papers than any other college in India.

The course curriculum is very good at VIT. It is updated from time to time to meet the standards of demanding industries. It consists of 2 internal exams and one final exam for a particular subject in 1 semester. The assessment is also based on quizzes, digital assignments, and projects.

Placement is one of the best features of the college. It provides various opportunities to each and every student. Various MNC comes here for recruitment processes. The highest package is nearly 40 lakh given by Microsoft. Companies from all the sectors come here for recruitment be it IT company, core company, management company, a manufacturing company, etc. College also provides internships but the stipend is dependent on the company of the internship.

There are many events celebrated in college. The Main 2 are Riviera and Gravitas. Riviera is the annual cultural fest of VIT which is generally celebrated in the month of February. Many big artists come to this fest for performing. The gravitas is the annual technology fest of VIT that occurs in the month of October which consists of various technical events.

Fees here depends on the rank and category you are choosing. The first category fees are nearly 195000 for group A branches like CSE, ECE, Mechanical and Rs 175000 for group B branches like IT, EEE, Civil, etc. As you go on high in category tuition fee increases.

There are some scholarships that are merit-based. If you get VITEEE rank within 1000 you get a scholarship according to the rank. There are also scholarships for the ward of defense personnel. There are some merit-based scholarships if you secure top 10 ranks in your branch and University.

There are various state if the art labs are present in VIT. There are various sports activities available here. There are 2 big outdoor stadiums. There are various sports facilities available here which consist of football, Volleyball, Gymnasium, Cricket ground, Snooker, Table tennis, lawn tennis courts, swimming pool, etc.

Hostel infrastructure is very good. We have all the facilities inside the campus. But has a very good hostel facility. Some hostels have AC rooms also. Hostels at VIT are completely safe and secure. Hostels also have a mess facility.

The Alumni network is very strong here in VIT. Every year alumni meeting takes place here at VIT. VIT has various alumni working in top positions at various reputed companies around the world. The strong alumni network helps the students to get knowledge about the recent trends in the industries and their changing demands. This strong alumni network also helps in securing internships.

One has to appear for the VITEEE exam. It is a national level computer-based test held across all over the country. It consists of various slots and timings so that you can choose your suitable day and time. After the exam ranks are announced. After that counseling is done on the basis of ranks.

There is a mixed batch of faculty here in VIT. But almost all have knowledge about their subject. All faculties are Ph.D. holders. Some faculties have various projects and research published in renowned journals.
