Remarks

Overall considering all areas it is a good college. The administration is not student friendly. Placements wise our college is very good. Decision are mostly taken in favour of administration without considering student's opinion.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is very good. Continuous evaluation process will be followed. That is there will be assignments, minor exams, mid semester exam and finally end semester exam. All these exams are evenly distributed throughout the semester.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement opportunities are exceptionally good in our college. Overall about 95% of students gets placed in campus placements. Average package is also high ( around 7 lakhs per annum considering all branches ). Our college allows companies to hire 3rd year students for internships. Most of the times these companies offer a pre placement offer for the students they hired for internship.

College Events

3.5

Mainly two events will be conducted every year. First one is TECHNOZION, this is a technical fest which will be having many technology related events, workshops, guest lectures from eminent personalities. Second one is SPRINGS SPREE, this is a cultural fest which will be having fun filled events, pro shows, cultural arts performances etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College fee will be generally Rs.62,500 per semester. For students whose parent's annual income is below one lakh, will get full fee waiver form government and for students whose parent's annual income is 1-5 lakhs will get ? of fee waiver from government. Considering the fee waiver I think fee structure is feasible for everyone. Hostel fee is around 30,000 per year.(including mess charges)

Fees and Financial Aid

Students who are in top 5% in their respective branches will get merit scholarship from college by which they can get their college fee back. Students have the facility to take educational loan. A scholarship for students who got less than 2,000 rank in JEE MAINS exam is also there.

Campus Life

4

On an average there will be two labs per week. Equipment in labs are average as most of the equipment is actually very old. There are about 25 clubs in our College, covering almost all kinds of interests. Gym facilities and courts for all sports are also available.

Alumni/Alumna

Being the first Regional Engineering College ( established in 1960 ) our college is having one of the largest network of alumni. Alumni did a lot for our college. They built a Innovation garage in our college. Senior are also friendly. Before exams seniors will conduct some classes for juniors.

Admission

After 12th class an entrance exam called JEE MAINS will be conducted. The is common entrance exam to get into any NIT or IIT. As NITs and IITs are the best institutions for Betech, there will be a lot of competition. As ours is one of the top NIT one should get at least 20,000 rank among the 12,00,000 students.

Faculty

3.5

Some faculty are very good. But some are average. We can't expect every thing from faculty. Some times they do give some topics for self study, in case if they are unable to complete the syllabus on time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
