Remarks
The hospital of the college is too good, which comes as a bonus to the students. Also the campus is very eco-friendly as the college have solar panels installed for electricity and hot water and the campus is also filled with greenery all around. The only negative thing is the canteen gets closed after 1 AM which makes it really difficult to eat something in nights.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBBS or Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery is a 4.5 year undergraduate course which is required to enter the well known profession of doctor in india. The course is 4.5 years with 1 year internship in the same college. Course is basically divided into 3 types of subjects (Preclinical,Paraclinical & Clinical). Preclinical subjects are taught in the 1st year of the course.Paraclinical subjects are taught in the second year of the course which is 1.5 years long. All the clinical subjects are then taught in the remaining years of the course.
Placement Experience
Yes the college provides a internship of a whole year which is necessary for the course. The stipend amount is also higher than most of the college in india (around 18000 rupees/month).The patient flow to the hospital is too good which gives you opportunity to learn more as a intern. The staff be it academic or non-academic are very supportive and helpful.
College Events
College is involved in a lot of events in a calendar year which gives the students to come out and do something apart from there academics.A annual college fest (B-beats) is celebrated in which all the batches get to compete in all the segments of entertainment (Dance, singing, mimes, skits, etc).Sports Day, Independence day, republic day,Gandhi Jayanti, diwali, holi almost all the events are celebrated in the mighty campus of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little experience because the university is a demend university and it have no funding from the government and to run such a huge Medical college you need money in huge amount. The recent fee structure is around 18 lakhs per annum including residential facilities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are not provided by the college itself but scholarship to study in this college are provided by central government and state government and many other trusts.Loan can also be taken from many known banks of India as this is a well know college.
Campus Life
You can do research which is funded by the ICMR and the BLDE research committee. Annual sports events are also help amoung different batches. The college has started a new event for the welfare of the students and society as well called as startup in colleges which let the medical student start a new start-up related to his/her professional field.
Hostel Facilities
I live in the Hostel of the college. The hostel is too good and the students are provided rooms in triple occupancy basis.Hostel is well furnished, secure and have indoor sports room and tv rooms including a cafeteria.Hostel rate around 80,000 per annum.
Alumni/Alumna
The college have a long list of alumni which often comes to the few events in the college as guests. The seniors on the other hand are really helpful and there is no ragging complaint from the students. When you are new to the college seniors really helps you in the academics and are real fun in the college events.
Admission
I wrote a medical entrance exam (NEET) in which I scored 348 and then got selected through the All India Merit List in the 2nd round of the counseling. Once I received a admission letter in this online counseling I came to the college with all the necessary documentation and verification of the same was done here, after that fee of the college was submitted and all my original documents were taken by the college and confirm admission receipt was given.
Faculty
Faculty of the college are the best starting from the 1st year all the way to the last year. All the faculty are doctors which is the best thing about this college. All faculty well trained and cooperative to the students.Faculties also encourages you to take up research projects and other co-curricular activities for the all round development of the students.
