Remarks

Positive remark about our college is our college is very beautiful place. Our college was surrounded by tea plantations. And it's a photographic place. Negative remark about our college is we lack sufficient technical assets.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum was tough in our time period. At starting the syllabus and curriculum was difficult to follow. We got couple of internal exam to get qualification for semester exam. We need to score 45% to pass the exam.

Placement Experience

2

Actually we were 2nd batch of Mechanical, so we didn't get any placement opportunity and internships. Since it's 2nd batch we didn't get enough fund for any kind of activities. But we managed to attend placement programs from other departments to get experience. Also we tried to involve in internship and workshop in other than college.

College Events

4.5

Onam celebration: we used to celebrate onam in each year. But due to flood in kerala we avoide celebration in that year. Vishu : we celebrate vishu by firing up crackers in each year. Christmas: the x mas was not grand celebration like onam but we managed to celebration at our own level. Diwali, Holi, Arts day, Sports day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was quite affordable since it was a government college and we got scholarship. The scholarship was available for eligible students. The eligibility was based on economy of family and also cast was a parameter.

Fees and Financial Aid

E grant is a good scholarship Available for backward students. We only need to pay bus fee. And also there is scholarship based on education level. Fisherman scholarship is also available. For e grant your family income should be below some amount.

Campus Life

3.5

Since we were 2nd batch some of the lab equipment was not there so we need to go to other college and near polytechnic college to do lab work. Year by year it was improving. Equipments was coming yearly. Sports was event awesome it occurs yearly.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

From 1st year to 3rd year I opted private hostel. It was good hostel and it was affordable for us. Then I moved to college hostel it was much more cheaper than private hostel. But we could get more than expected life there.

Alumni/Alumna

We had only one senior batch since our batch was 2nd in college. So our alumni network was weak. When students was passed out there will be caution deposit in college they will just ask whether we are willing to donate in alumni association. So we expect it will get better in coming years.

Admission

I got admission through entrance and merit. In first allotment I got in thalassery engineering college and then I applied for further allotment. I got this college in 3rd allotment. I paid 25k at thalassery but amount required in wayanad was 85000/- only so the remaining amount was refunded later. The admission process was too long in wayanad.

Faculty

3

Our mechanical engineering faculty was good they were supportive in nature. But other faculty was not seemed to be kind. Some of them were good. Our faculty gave us full support for curricular and extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the curriculum covers key subjects like Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Deep Learning right from the early semesters. The inclusion of electives such as IoT, Cloud Computing, and NLP made it future-relevant and versatile.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
