Remarks

Back then, a few insensitive decisions threw the management in bad light. I really hope they must have mended their ways. Besides that, the management is really friendly and enabling. If you put behind the peer-pressure and peer-politics and strive hard you can take the best out of this institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course and curriculum were all devised by our staff and board members who had good industrial experience before getting down to the teaching business. It is very relevant to the latest trends and case studies. But back in my days when Business Analytics was starting to assume importance, we had a minimalized course on that only. But I learned the later batches had an updated thorough course on Analytics. The marketing staff are all too good. implementation of the practical case studies and presentations helps in our day-to-day official chores and in decision making.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement figures keep changing every year. It really depends on that particular year's economic conditions and the situation in the job market. Internships are with major fin, Marketing and Info System companies. So are the placements. One issue is some over smart candidates dodging the placement committee and ending up with multiple offers which is a cause of worry for a few other deserving candidates. Otherwise, placements are really good for an institution in Trichy.

College Events

4

Flagship events are conducted for HR, Marketing, Fin and IT clubs. There are umpteen other clubs and committees one can be a part of. As far as I could recollect, we had a Sanskriti, Zyme, Marwar, vyuga strategy, Arya Memorial Cricket tournament, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was about 12 lacs back in 2015 - 2017. It should be at least 2 L more now. This includes stay and tuition fees, besides a deposit amount for confirmation of joining. First-year fees were about a lac more than the second if I am not wrong. There are financing options available too. Mess fees are separate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Nope. Did not avail any scholarships or education loan. I had taken a loan from my family relative which I ended up paying back within a year or so after I left my college.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus Life was exciting as we slept as late as 3/4 AM. and still made it to the class the next day at 8.30 AM. Some of us used to play badminton, TT and other games, some rooms are famous for you-know-what things. there used to be debated, strategy based decision making events, a whole start-up based event, and a lot of external events and competitions. We had an air-conditioned Computer center that functions 24*7.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel fees as part of the overall, am not really able to recall how much was that. It was about 4K per month for 4 sharing 2BHK room. Not bad, the hostel premises was okayish for a government quarter. No major hiccups such as power cuts or water shortage. No AC though, you can't expect that in a college hostel that's outside of the town.

Alumni/Alumna

BIM is known for its strong alumni network and we usually get a lot of referrals and placements via these networks. A bunch of them are really helpful.

Admission

I was first shortlisted for a screening process. We had a group discussion. The topic, if I remember right, was "Do celebrities have the right influence on the youth" It went well, with the moderators being very friendly and considerate. Then we had an interview round by three faculty members. For those with prior work experience, the questions revolved around that mostly. They want to see if the candidates possess a clear thinking process. After that they released 3-4 list of selected candidates, each list releasing in a gap of one week.

Faculty

4

The staff had good industrial experience before getting down to the teaching business, BIM has boasted of a strong Finance program and the faculties have been really good. The other senior staff are ex-alumni of BIM's early batches. They have seen BIM evolve through the years and are ensuring in upkeeping the standards year on year.

Actually the student of last semester student only participate in campus interview in a campus interview. they will selected 15 to 20 people in a campus interview. they don't select all the people and they came from local companies near by Salem.village area companies like a factories like cement company , manufacturing companies soda packaging company like that company offered as management training for the one year they will provide 15 to 20000 there will be a increment and promotions on that manufacturing companies . the student selected in campus interview they was well educated student and well known student about the MBA concept and they didn't they didn't fail in any subject they clear all the papers and get the good marks even first class students they are better but my interest was in local companies so I choose to go in big MNC companies but in my college they don't offer campus interview for the big companies they call only local companion so I don't have interested at local companies.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.
