Remarks

No full of positive vibes. It is a very good college and contain lot of things to learn. and there is nithing that point out as negative. My college is comolete and i am happy abiut that it is a great college

Course Curriculum Overview

There are total 4 year and consist of 8 semester.Each semester consist of 1 semester exam.The next year promotion is based on the credit. The credit system is giving some credit points to each subject and those who get 13 credit is passed to next semster.Those who failed has to attend supplymentary examination and want to make enough credits.

Placement Experience

There are lot of oppurtunity for the coming graduated engineers.The previous yerar 2.45lakh/month is the recorded placement.And internship is provided that consist of minimum 7 days.I am second year student i dont have much experience about internship.

College Events

Sattva, it us our arts fest which is celebrated by whole students in the college.Every department shows there skills and try to earn as much points that they can contribute for their department. Innovia ,its our tech fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

45,000 per semester it is expensive.that per month 90000.And there we dont have enough college life.Only the university certifate is the reason for every student those who were studying here.The NRI fee is above 45000.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships and loans wuich college is availing. Some of them are the mean cum merit scholarship, e grantz scholarship. Loans from various banks are available here and college take strict proceedings

Campus Life

There are many labs and a health club in college. Labs for all department are present and are in very good conditions. Enough facilities are provided to every labs and health gym. Arts and other programmes occur oftenly

Hostel Facilities

Its a cool hostel.which consist of 4 rooms and 2 bathroom.There have enough place for 9 people. Food and care is assured.good caring from wardens. Its a peaceful place to study. Hygienemic conditions.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

They are in good condition and most of them are good postions. Alumni programmes occur here oftenly and they do a great set in tge future admissions some of them have started their own companies.they are happy

Admission

Common Admission Test Examination.then the result publish.lot of students from various parts of the country participat in CAT exam.Also foreign student may also apply for this exam.The cat exam is purely based on the plus two grade syllabus.The seat is allocated based on the rank.

Faculty

There are variety of departments and each department have its own faculty.Apart from it therea have also general science faculty.The faculty are good.Bt the campus is situated in kuttanad , which is not suitable for a college campus like cusat.

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

I choose btech cse cause it was the trending course at that time and I was computer science student in my high school so it was best for me to choose btech cse at that time. And I believe it cold be a great career choice

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Programs and activities are good and the support
Good support for the sports and highly skill atheletes

Dislikes

Exams are conducted without a gap in between
There are a lot of assignment often for the students

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

College at the heart of kuttanad

The university is very much reputed when compared to other universities. It was my great wish from childhood onwards to study under Cochin University. The conducts an examination named CUSAT CAT (COMMON ADMISSION TEST) every year. Students can attend the computer-based test and ranklist will be published in the university website afterwards. Students with top ranks will be allotted. The overall admission procedure through 3 allotments and followed by spot allotment for which the student should be present at the university in the exact date and time informed by the officials. Admission to this college is strictly based of cat rank.which is an exam conducted by cusat every year.This college have NBA tier 1 accreditation,only 3 colleges in kerala have it .
