My engineering college days

It is the good place for students who like to achieve in academics. Attendance is mandatory , parents will be called for regular absentees. Negative remarks are college campus is quite small and includes school and PU college.

I studied as per the scheme of VTU 2015 CBCS scheme. I had chosen bachelor of civil engineering. Here under CBCS scheme the maximum marks was 100 for each laboratory and theory subjects. Which was divided as 20 Marks as internals and 80 marks as externals.

Especially in civil engineering the placements were less compared to other engineering departments but in our batch (2019 pass out ) more than 20 out of 101 students including me got placements from over college. In civil department it was compulsory to do internship for minimum of 8 weeks. Few number of internships was also referred by our college. Stipend internships was provided to other Branch students.

1)Kalavaibhava inter college fest. 2)shrusti cultural fest. 3)udyuktha technical fest. 4) sports day. 5) karunada utsava. Kalavaibhava fest was celebrated for 3 days once in every 2 years and all other 2,3,4,5 was celebrated every year.

As I got admitted as per my CET ranking and reserved category I use to pay only college maintenance fee which was about 25000. Others joined from CET used to pay 75000. Presently the fee has increased. Compared to other big colleges fee is feasible.

All government aided scholarships and loan facilities were there. The students or the toppers of each semester who scores above 85% used to get scholarships of about 5000. I don't know exactly about loan facilities in our college.

Each and every department laboratories are good maintained and also well equipped. There was both indoor and outdoor play area. Basketball, badminton, cricket, football , volleyball, throw Ball and kabaddi college team was there.

We have SVCE Alumni association. Each and every year alumni meet will be held in our college. We share our ideas and also suggestions with each others and also with college management for the betterment of the students welfare.

I wrote common entrance test(CET) conduct by government of Karnataka and got seat based on merit. My ranking was around 65000 in CET. I belong to reserved category so that the ranking was accepted in this college.

I studied bachelor of civil engineering in this college where I had good and knowledged faculties. Our HOD was a good and well experienced man and was well responsive for students need. We had about 6 faculties PhD holders and about 12 assistant professors.
