Remarks

Our college is just ok not so excellent or poor education.specially mechanical branch faculties were so helpful but office staff were not so friendly unless its money matters and another thing if college stops throwing our money at annual functions we could use that money

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

There should be some kind of study tour or a program for industrial internship which will provide the basic knowledge of industres and the exam should be more concerned about exam like gate, isro, barc & ese.so if our college make question like their exams we would get more confident

Placement Experience

0.5

Yes That's what i was saying that we needed internships, jobs but there is no body to help us i m even saying that if possible please give every college a career councillor so that they can help us to bring out the best outcome from us

College Events

4

Our first time function was our fresher cum welcome party then we have our annual game like cricket ,volleyball, tennis ,kabbaddi, chess , & etc after that a annual 3 day long function where some local artists and students perform then Bollywood singers perform

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was ok for me but there is so many out there that they cant afford to study engineering but there is some government facilities for people who are unable to pay their semester fees so we were happy there

Fees and Financial Aid

There is prerana which provides all expenses according to the based on students family income some students also get hostel fees apart from gov held our college also helped some students but what can i say i was paid my fees every semester

Campus Life

4

They were good specially our mechanical lab/work shop i have seen verious type of machines like lathe, drilling machines, gyroscope, refrigeration system some mechanisms ,orifices, grinders, welding machin & etc

Alumni/Alumna

I did not come to get much more contact with our seniors because i was a lateral entry student our class time were different so there was not much contact but my fellow students and some junior students are steel in contact with us

Admission

After the declaration of entrances rank then we called for counseling where i gave some amount like 6000 or something like that it was counseling fee then they took our college options after that we got msg from the college for taking admission there

Faculty

2.5

They should be more focus on teaching rather then bullying students i m not saying all teachers are same but some of them are so bad but luckily my branch teachers were so polite and eager to teach us new things

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
