Remarks

DSU is a exceptional organisation which has been working for a relatively long time, providing quality education to the students and helping them secure their future in their respective fields. Everything is nearly perfect here

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The subjects are really good and interesting. It covers a wide range of topics, with its theory and practical, all separately taught and examined. It gives the students an additional option to choose any one of the three subjects for their master degree.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. They link up with government and private companies which provide internship to the students which helps them to have practical knowledge about the subject they are studying. At the end, the students are provided with a certificate showing that they have attended the internship.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement is quite remarkable in our university. They have a placement cell that trains the students about how to face an interview and how to prepare their own biodata. They also let us know about where the companies stand in their respective fields.

College Events

4.5

The best events are the college fest which is held every year by various departments. The Freshers party is given to the newcomers by the seniors and the passing out batch is sent with a lavish farewell party. All the major festivals are celebrated grandly especially Ganesh chaturthi.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The academic fee is quite reasonable, giving the facilities they provide to the students. The entire fee for the year can be paid in two installments, each for one semester. If the student has good 12th score, they will get a decent scholarship.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is currently no loan facility given by the University itself but there is certainly scholarship available for the students. The scholarship is given to the students who have scored good marks in the 12th or DSU entrance exam. Depending on your mark, you will be awarded a suitable amount of scholarship

Campus Life

5

DSU always has something interesting going on. The diversity of its departments helps the students to be engaged all throughout the year. College fests, seminars, conferences, sports day, cultural events and competions are always going in the university

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel is pretty good. There are two different hostels for both boys and girls. All the four hostels are inside the campus. There are all the basic facilities available in the hostels. Each hostel has its own mess which provides food to the students, four times a day. It depends on the individual regarding the type of hostel they would prefer

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are the best part of this University. They are very helpful, regardless of the matter. There is never any instance of any sort of ragging or bullying. The seniors are very mixing and they join the new comers by their shoulders always

Exam Structure

The course is completed in terms of semesters. Each year is divided into 2 semesters. They have two internal exams for each sem. The marks add up along with the marks scored in the semester end exam.

Admission

Based on my 12th marksheet, I was eligible for admission in B.Sc in Dayananda Sagar University. The panel of the admission council conducted my interview, asking me about my past academic records and any extra co-curricular achievements. Then I was admitted in the course.

Faculty

4.5

The professors are really good. They are well educated about their respective subjects. They keep the students updated about the recent discoveries and inventions. They are supportive and provide additional support to the week students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
