Remarks

It is one of the superb colleges as all the students here various facilities that help in making learning easier. Also, there is a spacious library which has huge collection of books and a variety of journals are also available so that students can enhance their knowledge.

Placement Experience

The college arranges special Workshops for the students besides giving them good job placement opportunities as well. Some of the companies that visit the campus for hiring students include Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, ICICI Bank to name a few.

Hostel Facilities

Since I belong to a nearby place so I don’t opted for hostel. Though my college offers hostel facility to all the students, students who want to get accommodation in college’ hostel have to strictly follow the rules and regulations which are prescribed by the Management.

Admission

BA (Journalism) was my course and to get admission here I was supposed to give an entrance exam for the same and on the basic of the marks scored in the exam, my application was considered forward. I am very happy for getting admission in my favourite course

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Madras School of Economics - A Comprehensive Review for Bachelor's

Course Curriculum Overview:

Has a lot of new age courses like MS Excel, Python and Data Science. It prepares you fairly well for roles like Data Analyst, Financial Modelling, etc. Areas for improvement include optimising the curriculum load as per the students. Two internals (one after a month after sem starts, second a few weeks before the end sem) and the end sem. I feel the end sem is relatively easier due to the preparation we endure for the internals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Political science syllabus in our college is pretty upgraded. The way it's structured is also pretty good. For a student of Political Science, they first gives us an introduction of the discipline theoretically explaining the subject before moving to it's real life examples. Out syllabus covers almost everything that is required for a Political Science graduate. Faculties make it even more effective using assignments and their lectures.
