The most positive thing about the college is it's infrastructure as well as the Social and Cultural fests organized as one of the largest festival of North India. And infinite opportunities from core fields as well as the non core fields.

The course curriculum is extensive, ranging from courses from Mathematics department, Chemistry department, Chemical Engineering department and the Polymer Department. Mostly the courses are aligned with Chemical Engineering department, with speciality in Polymer Science.

Placement and job opportunities are quite many, due to its reputation, about 80% of the students are placed with an avg CTC of 8 lpa . Yes, the college also provides with internships known as sparks. Where many projects in various fields can be opted.

Thomso the cultural festival of IIT Roorkee is North India's largest festival with about 10,000 footfalls every year. With many cultural activities like dance and muaic, and with days ending with a Pronite. Cognizance, India's one of the largest Tech fests organized in the month of February. The tech activities range from Robot fights to aeroplane competitions and many Strategy based Entrepreneurship camps.

Fee structure has become expensive from the past 5 years, increasing from 100,000 per year in 2014 to 2,60,000 per year in 2019. Although for families with income less than 1 lacks per year, the tuition fee is exempted, reducing the fee to only 60,000 per year.

A scholarship is offered to the students who have a rank of under 300, where the students are given 75000 stipend per year, although they have to maintain a gpa of above 8. Other scholarships are for families whose net income is less than 1 lacks per year, are given 100% discount on the tuition fees.

Extracurricular activities are in abundance, ranging from Cricket, Football, Volleyball, and very rare sport of Hockey, Athletics and indoor sports like Table tennis, Squash, and Snooker/Pool. The students pursue these in their free time in the campus.

The alumni network is very supportive to the college as well as to the children, helping in career wise decisions / life decisions. The Alumni network is what helps IITs be maintained as a reputed college.

First, prepared for JEE Mains & Advanced throughout 11th and 12th . Cleared Jee Mains with a rank of 3946, then in Jee Advanced, obtained a rank of 7556, opted for Polymer Science & Engineering, considering many opportunities in core and non-core fields.

Faculty are quite knowledgeable and are quite busy in their research to publish papers. some of them take classes with enthusiasm and creatively make the students understand some of the most difficult topics. Some are not quite good, and only read slides on their topics.
