Entrance Preview

I have given WEBJEE in 2012.My marks was around 75-80 accordingly i secured rank of 12053.Then it was tough for me to choose what course i should opt for.My interest was in core branch but when i inquired the placement records for different colleges i observe that ratio of placement in it/cse course was far ahead of core courses.I wanted to pass out from my college with a job,so i filled up the online counseling form of webjee.I made a list of good colleges and filled up the form according to that in my preferences,i put jadavpur university then shivpur college then iem ,heritage and then haldia instiitute of technology and techno india.According to my rank i got it department in haldia institute of technology.Then i had to report to respective college in which i got admission after verification of 10th,12th and webjee rank card.When i came to college after long journey from kolkata to haldia,there was something to cheer as campus have good infrastructure and environment.

Internships Opportunities

In my department,there is no provision of any stipend internship but students gets chance to do project at different universities as a part of summer training.Companies like tech mahindra also conducts training programs to top 50 students of software department.Students can also get research projects from different teachers,who are doing researches.I got selected for tech mahindra internship and it was very good.

College Events

in our college annual college fest is held every year and it is good as each year several good renowned artist come here to perform.tech fest are also held every year and students from diffrent college come to participate in this.prize money for these events are also good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible here as it is government by west bengal government tuition fee is around 80,000 every year and hostel fee is around 20,000 every year.fooding charge is given at the end of each month.

Fees and Financial Aid

Half free scholarship is given to poor students every semester after taking interview.Branch topper are also given scholarships.Loan are provided to many students by the banks.State government also give scholarships to many poor students .

Gender ratio is good here.There is no descrimination in the name of religion and caste here.There are many ngo run by college students to help poor students nearby like needs and gigyaas.Workshops are organised by various socities like csi,acm,ieee that enhance the skill of students.Annual sports day is held every year in college.College tournament of cricket,football,volleyball,basketball,table tennis,badminton are organised which are very good and competitive.

Hostel are good.13 hostel are present here.They have good infrastructure.4 students are allowed to share a common big room with good ventilation food and water facility.24 hour electricity and internet wifi service is provided here but net speed is very s

Interaction with the students are good but alumini network as good as we think it to be.alumini meet are done every year but very few alumini comes to college because it is far from the main city,so there is less interaction of students with alunini.

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help
Campus is very beautiful and nice. Campus may be a little bit smaller but it is beautiful.

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

HIT HALDIA - AT A GLANCE

Okay, I've applied for 2-3 colleges(IEM Kolkata, Heritage Institute of Technology kolkata, Techno India Main Saltlake) alongwith HIT Haldia. But I choose this college because of mainly two reasons- 1)This is near my hometown. 6-7 km away from my house 2)My some school seniors are also studied here so they said me to take admission here Yes I've got rejection from many colleges also because my WBJEE and JEE main ranks are not so good. But I was selected to take admission i some colleges also but I didn't make that because of expensive fee structure and poor placements. HIT, Haldia Better then Government Colleges of West Bnegal

I have got some government colleges but the placements were worse in those and this college has a huge number placements you know.. for addmission in this college 80 percent are from WBJEE 10 percent from JEE mains and 10 percent from management Quota. The addmission process is quite smooth just fill addmission form they will verify then pay the semester fee and your addmission is done ? verification step is most important there during addmission.
