Remarks :

No. The college is excellent and it is eco-friendly. And the vibe is ufff. It is in the middle of the city next to subash Park and marine drive and the college has a society and canteen and also clean toilets.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum is very effective for the students and the exm are conducted in chronological order and also two set of internal exam is also conducted. And the results will be published within 45days.

Placement Experience :

College faculties are well supporting to attain research and their are also placements to certain companies conducted. None of them are left jobless. Maharajas itself provide lots of job opportunities.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Feasible. Though it's run by the government. The fee structure is very low. The fee varies from graduation to posgraduation. And for pg around 6000only for admission and those who apply egrants will get reduction.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Their are many scholarships available for the students. For the students help the college had appointed a teacher for guidance and one student can apply for one state grant and one central scholarship.

Campus Life :

They are well good. Their is a physical education department in the college and lots of clubs which enhance students capabilities and for arts also college is leading and it benefits lots of students.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes i am at hostel. The hostel has good accommodation. Their issues a wardon and a residential tutor. The fee structure is below 2000rs.And they are planning to build new hostel soon. Their are both boys and girls hostel.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes. Their is an alumni they conduct programs and help in fund management and development and they help for the development of the students and contribute for the development of infrastructure of the college.

Admission :

It was an online registration process of two days with online payment. And it will cost 500rs and you need to submit all the personal data and online payment and sports and arts quota admission is separate.

Faculty :

Teacher are well trained teachers who hold research scholarships and their teaching techniques are stunning. They conducts seminars and they communicate with us in both vernacular and English. They encourage us in extra curricular activities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature is something I loved since schooling. I remember going to school library and reading a lot of Shakespeare's novels and other books. I always admired world of Shakespeare. My interest in books and literature made me choose English literature. When I was searching for a good college, a lot of people suggested Nehru College which had the best faculties of English. College was a bit far from home but I decided to give it a try which was worth it. I had the best experience in nehru. The curriculum evaluation makes sure that all the objectives required for a student is fulfilled. They make sure that the students are getting the best possible way of learning. Also they give us insights about the further studies. Along with academics, the faculties make sure that they prepare us for various competitive exams like UGC NET. The only area where the literature students face stress is exams. The paper is very lengthy that students find it difficult to complete the exam on time.

Just experience it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Good faculty and availability of museum and library,more than academics the college and course provides extra benefits such as communication skills, personal development etc.. Teaching method is still the old school method were teachers spoon feeds the students it must be limited and self teaching methods should be encouraged more,there the sem exams will be 2:30 hrs and those are more subjective and extra papers included languages like Hindi , Malayalam,Tamil, English.(it's according to institutions)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Although this course was taken with great interest, the need for improvement was realized during the course. There was no continuation of what was studied in each semester. The curriculum should be improved and an updated syllabus should be included. Exams are conducted at regular intervals. There is a growing need to improve the teachers because being a government college it seems that in many cases the teachers are not doing their job and the class is progressing only through seminars and presentations. At the same time, it has been possible to get to know the scholars and gain a lot of knowledge through some of their classes
