Remarks

It seems that everything is good just a small little complaint with regards to strict and sometimes poking strict policies of college management has lead to a lot of pinching matters in the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Exam structure and course curriculum are in line with Mumbai University and faculty is very helpfulin understanding the concepts in a better way. However now the college has attained autonomous status and hence i am unsure of whether University guidelines would be abided or seperate course content would be designed.

Placement Experience

3

Nice as i can surely say that atleast 1 job fair is organised every year for the students on purely merit basis and a part time job or articleship both are possible on the basis of calibre of student.

College Events

5

Various events of various departments are celebrated including intercollegiate events and regular seminars associated with mathematics and statistics , share market , financial planning , government policies , etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is a bit expensive and needs to be paid annually for general students . However there are special provisions for handicapped and economically backward students . Fees for self finance course generally ranges from 15-25 k.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any facility but one of my freind who was handicapped enjoyed privileged scholarship and was just required to pay ?5 as his annual fees where general fees was much higher than that (22 k ?).

Campus Life

5

Various intercollegiate sports event and proper guidance with a full fledge grass ground comfortable for a complete football ground to adjusted and also indoor games with experienced coaching staff is provided to students.

Alumni/Alumna

No i have not yet observed any such gathering or network for alumni but as i have cleared my course just 6 months back let's just hope that even that comes handy and i would love yo stay in touch with anyone and everyone i get a chance.

Admission

One needs to get registered on the official potal of Mumbai University and then opt for all the colleges from alloted dropdown then also official website provides a portal for gujurati minority students to enroll and fill the form by paying prescribed fees which is nominal (?100).

Faculty

5

Faculty here is very helpful in studies and extra curricular activities and a few faculty members are qualified chartered accountants a few are cfp's hence a vide exposure to practical knowledge is also easily accessible.

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
