A Top Tier College Equivalent to the IITs

There are very few negative remarks as rhis college is one of the greats of the country. The only thing is the high fees. Except that this is the place to study if you want good educarion along with enough freedom to pursue your dreams.

It has 0% attendance policy. The course curriculum is well structured. Exams are evenly spaced with ample amount of time in between them. There are two main exams, Midsem and the Term exam. Both the exams are well planned and cover all the topics of what the course curriculum was.

As I said, it is a top tier college in India. It has very good placements and job opportunities. Most of the people are placed. Our college provides 2 Internships in the 4 years. It is included in our curriculum. I am now in the second internship presently. Both the internships were very valuable to me as it gave me the exposure to real life work.

We have 3 fests. The first is BOSM a sports fest where people from all across the country come and participate in sports. The second is Oasis, as cultural fest which is one of the top college fests in India. The third is Apogee, a technical fest. All these fests are managed by students.

The fees is expensive. For a middle class family, it is quite expensive. Yet, the return is equally fruitful. Taking up a student loan is the only option left for people. It is the only drawback of studying in this college, the steep Fees.

Scholarships are give to deserving candidates. Scholarships upto 80% of the term fees is given. Loans are available in various banks nearby college. All the loan facilities are available on the first day of college.

The place is known for the freedom we get. Everyone has the freedom to do whatever he wants. That has what driven the formation of clubs where people with similar interests come together and develo their skills. There are many clubs which are very talented, such as Music Club, Drama Club, Coding Club, etc.

Alumni Network is huge in our College. Everyone is very much settled. Help is always there at BITS if you know whom to ask. And after our immediate seniors, its the Alumni that help us. We have a fb group for our Alumni where any problem we face with respect to anything is adressed carefully by the alumni.

There is a special entrance exam for BITS known as BITSAT. I attempted the exam and then got a score of 361 out of 420. I then applied to the college specifying the choices that I would prefer to be my graduation subject. Then I was selected for Mechanical Engineering.

The faculty is very helpful and quite involved with the students. They always help for the betterment of a student. If we miss a few classes, they will personally help a student to catch up by taking sessions in their chambers. Overall a very helpful and skilled faculty.
