Remarks
Good faculties, positive atmosphere at the college, freedom at the college campus, fast permission for any type of programme to be conducted is a positive Remark about the college. Infrastructure, lab facility, hostel food are negative remarks.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is a good curriculum followed by my college which is given by our University. The name of the university is APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Kerala. The full course consists of eight semesters(4yrs). Each semester has university semester examination where the grades of each semester will be given in the final grade card. Each semester consists of two internal examinations and assignments. 45% mark in internal and 75%attendance is the criteria to write university examination. The course curriculum consists of almost all topics of various area of profession.The syllabus is assigned with correct weightage of marks and hours are assigned perfectly for each module by university and it is followed by teachers.But it need to be made more advanced with newer technology.
Placement Experience
My College has a placement cell but the placement at my college is very poor when compared to other colleges. Our college gives permission to do Internships but the place and area of internship should need to be find out by the student itself.I have done one internship. The industry was found by me and my college gave permission to do the internship. I was not stipend for that internship.
College Events
The main events celebrated are techfests conducted at college. Each department conducts techfests which consists of general entertainment events and events related to branch of conduction. Various Cultural programmes will also be conducted in each techfests. Other programmes are Onam Celebration, Holi celebration etc. Sports and arts are conducted every year but of less effectiveness since it is a professional college of technological importance. For any programmes conducted,the fund is raised by students. The management doesn't give any financial support for any programmes.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure of the college is feasible and it is less when compared with fee structures of other college. Students of average and below average financial status is present more in the college.College gives good support in getting education loan. Hence, there is no negative remark on the fee structure of my college.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am provided with a scholarship scheme of Aicte. i.e, Aicte tution fee waiver scheme. I am availed for that and the college has done all procedures for that smoothly. Now a major portion of my tutuion fee is waived based on that scheme.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities, labs and sports are very poor in college. The lab facility is not upto level and hence we cannot do lab perfectly as prescribed by the syllabus. The only Extracurricular activity in college is National Service Scheme(NSS) and it is working very effectively under NSS technical Cell.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel has a good atmosphere and ambience.The Infrastructure is good the facilities are very poor.Any compliant in basic appliances take a long time to get it repaired. The food provided for hostelers is worst and action against the complaint on food is very by the management.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors and super seniors of the college is very much communicative and helpful. They tell us their experience and challenges in the field of study. The give some basic knowledge on each subject before beginning itself and it is very helpful in concentrating.
Admission
I got admission through Kerala Medical and Engineering entrance Examination 2018 (KEAM2018). The commissioner of entrance examination allotted me to this college through general engineering allotment based on my engineering entrance rank.
Faculty
My college has got a good set of faculties. All are well qualified teachers. Most have less experience in teaching but they give their level best in teaching us and making us understand. All the teachers have a friendly nature with students and hence the student teacher interaction is best in every departments at the college. Each student can express any of their issues with faculties.They try to complete the prescribed syllabus within given time.
